Wow, I remember reading this fic a long time ago, probably before I had an ffnet account.

Love all the angst and the suspense and definitely the h/c.

Very well written and I just couldn't stop reading. So I so blame you for me being late for work now :)

I have had this story on my list for a long time and yet every time I read it, I never get bored of it. This has to be one of the best stories on Fanfiction. I love ever detail to it and hope to read more from you.

Endlich habe ich diese Geschichte an einer Stelle gefunden, wo ich mich tatsächlich traue ein Review zu schreiben. Es ist die beste Serie von Fanfics die es je zu KR gab! Wirklich. Ich bin ein absoluter Fan davon. Ich liebe Nick und Karr (und wenn sie so herrlich mit sich und ihren doch existenten Gefühlen ringen), Alex, Jennifer Knight, die einfach beste Böse, die es je gab, Michael und Kitt und natürlich die Idee des Neuroimplantats. Das hat mich in meinem eigenen Schreibstil doch ziemlich heftig beeinflusst. Und ich bewundere dich endlos dafür das auch noch in Englisch zu schreiben. Die Edward Awards für das Fire und Ice-Universum waren mehr als nur verdient, es ist ein Meilenstein der Fanfiction-Literatur. Es ist eine dieser Geschichten, die beweist, dass eigene Charaktere manchmal sogar besser sind als das Original und definitiv das Beste, was das KR-Fandom an langen Story-Reihen zu bieten hat.

Und außerdem finde ich es auch noch unglaublich toll, dass du so viele Geschichten am Stück schreiben kannst. Wie machst du das nur und wo nimmst du die ganzen Ideen her?

*Seufz* Hab ich genug gehuldigt? Nein, ehrlich, ich bewundere dich wirklich. Du bist ein Phänomen und immer noch mein Vorbild, auch wenn ich mittlerweile auch in anderen Fandoms unterwegs bin.

I watched Knight Rider on tv when I was a child, but apart from Kitt didn’t find the show particularly remarkable, but your story is simply amazing. From the little I remember your Michael is better than the show; I really did not like the actor that played the character.

Nick and Karr are my favorite characters, and I will love know more about them.

I've been reading this alot, and while I'm not usualy into alot of Knight Rider stories - cause nobody can get the characters right - you've mannaged to make this story addicting. I've kinda noticed that you've almost put a sort of slash hinting into the development of KITT and Michael's relationship. Maybe that was unintentional. But, it seems that your story has started a trend in the Knight Rider genre of and I like the direction the AU is going. Great story, and great character development. I hope to read more of your stories.

I promised I would review! Wow, guys, check this out! This is a real epic, no I'm not talking about this one story, but the whole series. Fire & Ice is one of those stories when (yes, I know, I've said it before!) you wish it had been yourself that wrote it. Fire & Ice is a LONG series, so grab a pot of coffee, sit back and enjoy it to the hilt. The author has spent alot of time on this entertaining us, and yes, I think it shows. The whole series is very well put together - lots of continuity within the plots itself - while also drawing well on the Knight Rider back story and history. The author took a unique idea and basically hit the ground running with it. Character interaction and build is great, made very believable by the author's clear prose (got some good beta readers and a couple of co-writers guest starring! Also, girls, take a look at the actor in mind for Nick Mackenzie - wow is he hot!)

Basically, if you're reading this review, then hot-tail it to the next part, read the whole lot, then come and tell me if you didn't laugh out loud or blub like a baby. Better still, tell the author!

I've noticed that Birgit is a very prolific author, and I'm eager to see what is to offer in other genre's, (just have to find the time!)however, I would love to see some original fiction (author, point me in the right direction here!) i.e not fan fiction related. I get the impression that whatever the author writes, will be one heck of a ride.

That... was... long. But well worth the wait. I had to pop some popcorn for that one. Hey-o, way to go. I loved it. The few mechanical errors didn't bug me, and the story was a big two thumbs up.

This is very well written. The only suggestion I have is formatting - you might want to put more paragraph breaks in. :)

Ah ha! It seems I read the stories a bit out of order. Very nice. I love the way you've described the evolution of bond between Michael and Kitt. They were very close even before the neural implant began working. Thanks for writing! :-)
