All I have to say is 'WOW'! I love the original characters and could not stop reading at all. I hope that there will be more installments in this tale.

Woohoo! Go, Falathor! I was waiting for him to *do* something; he couldn't have just stayed there, being utterly useless. It really hurts, though. I have a feeling that Falathor isn't going to survive this war, and I love his character so much. Well, not as much as the Trio (Trotter, Beleg, and Anna), but he is the fourth on my list! None of this can end happily, when I think about it, but I've still got some hopes for a couple of them. I adore the Drughu! That is so wonderful how you've brought them into the story, and as helpers! How could they be anything but? And Trotter! He grows on me more and more with each chapter. *hugs Trotter* Beleg and Anna . . . awwe. Took him long enough to say that. And serious confessions *always* happen when you think you're in a dead end situation. I really liked the little touch of Anna rolling over against him to shut him up. So CUTE! And another cameo by Gandalf - squee! I am in love with this story, as you've known, so please -- PLEASE -- update it soon. I need more!

Very nice. Good original characters, and no real sign of romance till about chapter 20, about. No Mary Sue waltzing over to say, Legolas and starting to seduce him for .004 seconds before they have copious amounts of sex..

I have only read up to Chapter 11 so far. I promise to find time to read the rest later, but first I had to say what I thought about it so far.

As you already know, I just love this story. And Beleg is by far my favorite character (being a relation of mine, after all *wink,wink*). I'm really excited that you kept some original events from the early versions of this characters' tales, such as the River-lady and the Entwife.

I was so happy when Falathor was alive! I really like Falathor; he reminds me of Faramir. And Navri - oh Navri! I think I like him more than Gimli, and Gimli was my favorite Dwarf. I think Navri is now. :)

Gandalf's appearance - yay! I knew you'd stick him in there somewhere. And troll-leaf? *snicker* Beleg has a very interesting past, doesn't he?

I can't wait for the answer to that. It kind of intrigues me, and you might already have it answered by chapter 17. I think I have an idea of what it is, but I'm keeping my mouth shut. Don't want to accidently spoil anything.

I finally got enough free time to read a long story and I'm glad I picked this one. Obscure corners of the canon interest me, and you're doing an excellent job with this one. Your characters are well-developed, and the settings were better than I'm used to seeing in fan fiction. I particularly liked the description of Minhiriath (but maybe that's just my fondness for prairies coming out!).

I can't wait to find out what happens next! Beleg doesn't look so good either. I hope he's alright! o...! What's Falathor gunna do?! And Anna's Lomin's child! AHH! poor kid! ;) *sigh* I think Beleg and anna are going to end up together. That'd be sweet! *sigh* such a good story!

i can't belive that only two (well, now three) different people have reviewed this! this story is definatly one of the best fanfics i've ever read. the story is exciting, interesting, and way more original the every one of the hundred-kajillion legofics on this site (and they always seem to have tons of reveiwers. i guess your note at the begining scared all the leggy-worshipers away. (thank goodness)) the characters are also very well developed and the females are far from being the dreaded mary sue that seems to haunt most fanfics. please keep writing and updating this story. it's wonderful.

I read chap 15. It was really good. It was really important for the plot. I prefered your previous two chapters tho. I like action. I can't wait to find out what the deal is with the murder. Anna said she did it, but so did the other man. And Lomin's there. Oh boy! How is this gunna end?!? Your a really good writer and I can't wait for chap 16!! Hope it's soon!!
