Great story. Two of my best friends, who are gay, and I(who is not gay) celibrated the day of silence at school too. Several of my friends did too. ya know, this girl in one of my classes started to cry beacuse she thought the act of staying silent was so sad. Sad..huh? Great story!

I really liked this story. I participated in my school's Day of Silence yesterday too. They did give us those little cards, but I didn't use mine. The student council made pins out of little strips of multicolored cloth (was supposed to look like a rainbow) and whenever teachers called on me in class, I just pointed to the pin and they understood. Of course, you didn't need to know any of that, but oh well ^^. I had a lot of fun doing it, though. It was great to stand up for my beliefs. Once again, I enjoyed this story a lot. Good job on both the story and staying quiet all day - it was hard, wasn't it?

My school just started with the Day of Silence this year, and we had nearly 70 students participate, myself included. I think it's a great idea; nobody realizes how words, however insignificant, can hurt someone.

I enjoyed this. we had a day of silence at my school as well.
i paticipated.I had to wear all black and carry around those cards.i also had a arm band that had hate crossed out on it.
anyways this was a good fic.
