Maureen Olivia Lockhart 2008-04-26 . chapter 1Beautifully written. Great job. |
 sap 2008-03-27 . chapter 1 here's the thing,
most of those "do this and you die laws" in the bible were made for the survival of the family where the laws them selves were LIFE AND DEATH in biblical times because they would destroy the family relationship that exsists these laws were kept in place so that the family isnt torn apart
Now however the death of a single person would lead to only local newspapers with conversations with a police chief and the local news if family of the victim wishes it instead as it SHOULD have been (something the impact of all goverments going into anarchy) abd ministers talking about the holy ghost instead of them bickering about funds and taxes
here is where christ comes in
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
God had christ die on the cross and gave sin a beat down it will never forget, satan too and at the same time made most of the "laws of the family" said above in my opinon, void because we ALL (yes even Osama Bin Laden even if he is a idiot) can ask forgiveness
because the problem with homosexuals was thier knowledge that they could have sex without worries of pregnancy (i know they didnt know about stds) this is my opinion on WHY that verse was in exsistance
however im not jesus you (when you die) will have to talk with him and god about the issue

mel 2008-03-19 . chapter 1 This nearly made me cry. It's the way I feel sometimes.
...thanks |
The Cowgirl 2007-12-02 . chapter 1 Hey Lucy.
For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son. And whoever shall believe in him shall not parish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
So no, homosexuality is not cause for you to go to Hell, so long as you believe with all your heart and soul and mind that Jesus is christ, son of God, your saviour.
HOWEVER. (and this is from a christians point of view)
God did not create man and man, or woman and woman. He created Adam and Eve. Homosexuality is a sin.
And meek humans with our sinfull ways cannot overcome sin by ourselves. So we must call in the big guns. Prayer is so powerfull, and it can overcome anything, as long as you truly believe. So pray that you may be cleared of your lust for woman, and instead yearn for a healthy relationship with a god loving man who will take care and cherish you for the rest of your life. God will take care of the rest.
God bless!

Princess Aranel 2007-10-07 . chapter 1Beautifully written and point well made! |
Trapped in Reality 2007-05-12 . chapter 1Dear Lucy,
I will not send you to Hell because of what you are. Everyone has their flaws. The wages of sin is death. I feel hurt that you feel that I don't love you. I love you, even your flaws, because I made you. Everyone has the ability to accept my gift of salvation. Those who don't will burn. Nobody is sinless. Walk beside me and I'll help you with your troubles.
Love,
God. |
Shade 2006-09-27 . chapter 1 I have no idea how to thank you.Right before I clicked on your story I asked God to help me find if me being homosexual was right. Now I know it is because God loves us.ALL OF US even the part's that some people think are wrong. |
Kathryn M.B. Denson 2005-08-22 . chapter 1T_T That's so sad...I know exactly how that girl feels about her sexuality. I am a bisexual woman, and I very much enjoyed this piece. OMG, I feel so sorry for Kenworth...and I thought I had it bad, losing friends over my sexual orientation...of course I'd heard of Matthew Shepard and all that, but...anyway, great story. I loved it. |
Spoony 2004-04-30 . chapter 1 As a non-denominal liberal Christian, I do admire this work of fiction. If God is truly loving, he(or she. Die, sexism. Die a slow horrible death)would love little Lucy, no matter what her sexuality. I may be a straight Christian, but I believe gays should have EVERY single right that straights have. It isn't fair not to let them marry just 'cause our ** AWOL president doesn't wanna "catch their diseases". Bastard.
But anyways, very good! WRITE MORE! |
Dagniro Vanaliel 2004-04-08 . chapter 1Hi. I saw this on your profile. It almost made me cry. I am confuzzled about my sexuality right now... confused... this was good. Very good. Thank you for that. :) |
Freckled Raven 2004-02-21 . chapter 1Cool, I love all these stories you write about homosexuality. I'm straight myself, but I find it interesting and I disapprove of people discriminating against homosexuals because a book says it's wrong. I'm wiccan too!! :D.

amichan2 2004-02-05 . chapter 1I think all the flamatory reviews from Christians need to stop. I am a Christian myself, and I am straight. I found this story insightful, and just because your view of your faith in God is different from what Lilac tries to interpret from the point of view doesn't mean you can flame her about it. You don't have to read this. You can walk away from it. The thing is, every Christian will still have his/her different view of homosexuality, and it's not up to any one of you to decide whether a gay person will go to heaven. It is all in God's eyes, and he will judge in his own time.
So you can stop judging others. It says so. In the Bible. |
Princess SimbiAni Dreamz a'Luv 2004-01-22 . chapter 1nicely written... i'm not religious at all, in any way, none whatsoeva, but i still found this interesting ^_^ (and i read it becuz i was reading *your* stories, off your bio page, so it's not like i was in the "bible" category LoL, in case some1 says "then why are you reading in the religious section?" ^_^)

Sincerely, SimbiAni... luver of all that's sappy, cute, & aww-some!! |
Saber Apricot 2003-12-21 . chapter 1I liked your fic, it was well written.
I went to Parochial school for nine years. And in those nine years, not once was it taught that homosexuality was a sin (but I know all too well that in Christianity, other denominations can be very hateful towards people with other beliefs). I can see why some people would have problems with it. I would understand if someone was looking at it from some points of view… Like for example (now, this is just hypothetical ok. I don’t necessarily agree to this example... It just seems to be the most logical one that has popped into my head), homosexuality is wrong because you are supposed to have sex in order to produce children. And you are supposed to marry someone in order to have sex, in order to produce children. But then, what about people who can’t have kids? And what about couples past childbearing years? Are they sinning if they are having sex for pleasure (Probably according to some folk, ehehehe)? Maybe when married people aren’t busy making babies, they should sleep in separate beds and such like on those old monochromatic television shows... But, my opinion probably doesn’t matter much since I don’t believe the Bible literally. But that’s not important. I do like Return of PP’s comment about shellfish in your reviews though.
This kind of reminds me of that South Park episode about the Catholic Church. Father Maxi said some things that remind me of what I was taught in parochial school:
“...You've forgotten what being a Catholic is all about. [raises a Bible] This... book. You see, these are just stories. Stories that are meant to help people in the right direction. Love your neighbor. Be a good person. That's it! And when you start turning the stories into literal translations of hierarchies and power, well... Well, you end up with this. [shows off the ruins, and then the Queen Spider, then the Gelgameks] People are losing faith because they don't see how what you've turned the religion into applies to them! They've lost touch with any idea of any kind of religion, and when they have no mythology to try and live their lives by, well, they just start spewing a bunch of crap out of their mouths!”
I thought what he said was great! I think that this applies to anyone who takes the Bible literally. Technically, Catholics aren’t supposed to take the Bible literally and that’s what Father Maxi was getting at, but what he says applies to any religion. |
