(nudges fic lovingly) I found this one on someone's Favorites list. I have no idea what "Newsies" is. But this fic deserves much homage. (insert more praise here) Your first person is the best I've ever seen, book or fanfic.

Wow. This will have to be on one of my favorites. I loved the narration. It was very haunting and actually sounded as if someone was whispering it to their closest friend. I hope to read more of your stories in the near future. Excellent work.

So, I have no idea why it took me so long to review this. *Hits self. Hard.* This was truly amazing. Of course, I always say that, so you probably don't believe me, but I'm not lying. The realism was incredibly touching; it physically pained me to think about the boys treating Jack like that. And I felt so terrible for the nameless narrator (who, in my mind, was Kid Blink, but you did a good job of keeping him totally ambiguous). I can't imagine what it would have been like for him to see something like that and live in that constant fear of it happening to him. *Shudders* Anyway, overally, this was really, really powerful and realistic. Wonderful, incredible job (as always).

This is so incredibly sad. You have a beautiful style of writing, and I loved the way you seperated your paragraphs so that the entire thing was very poetic. I've always been doubtful of the stories that include blatant homosexuality betwen the newsies. Your realistic approach is an eye opener.
