Well, I wouldn't come near you if you wailed "Poor Simon" either. I mean his death was sad, but nothing to cry about; well, at least in my eyes. Mind you, I'm the rather insane Jack fan. So, whuteva. I'm not calling you a liar, but your choice of words don't sound like those of a 12 year old. Sorry, personal opinion.

Regarding K.B Aleo's flame, that user's out of his/her gourd. This piece was really good. Mind you, I found my own little nit-picks, but that doesn't affect anyone else, but me (Just personal opinions). That review sounded more like it was out of spite than anything else; pathetic really.

I feel sorry for Ralph, being involved in such CRAP! If the author of Lord of the FLies saw this,he would blow his brains out. What a tragedy has fallen, that those who see this, Fanfiction or not, have to remember this. It turns the entire Lord of the Flies story, and makes it all pointless. Dear, oh Dear.

I dont tend to scream out the name of a random character and then begin crying though... maybe thats just me. (that, and my fav. character in the book was Jack...) I had to read the book for AP enlish. I wish my essay sounded like your story! I mighta made a better grade...

We have some things in common, I've noticed. No one likes to read the book for me, neither. That and I've been crying about Simon a bit off and on.

My English class thinks it's funny, so they all say that I'm Simon's lover. I hate Pre AP.

OMG this was so good! ure an amazing writer, not just for someone ure age but an amazing writer for anyones age. this was amazing. u have got a real gift! i am utterly impressed! i'm putting this on my fav. stories list! u r so talented. if this is how u can write at 12 i can only imagine what ure writng will be like when ure older. plz write mre lotf fics! i love ure style of writing. i also loved how ralph was talking to piggy, and it makes u wonder if he was really there as a ghost, or if he was just imagining it. this was excellant and to sum up excellant job!

Anyway, about the story... Wow, that was good. Arguably the best-written piece in this fandom. I am seriously impressed. You've got talent, kiddo!

I don't wail "Poor Simon" only because I'm not the wailing type. I usually burst into tears, and then one somebody asks what's wrong, I quieltly sniffle, "S-S-S-Simon..." and start crying again.

I've also tried to get my friends to read it, and one did, but she didn't understand it. I'm trying to convince my teacher to have our class read it in school. I showed the old movie to a friend of mine once and she just thought it was weird. And you're not the only one who cries "poor Simon!" People often ask me what the book is about and my explanation always is: "these boys get stranded on an island, and Simon dies!! Aww, poor Simon!" This usually causes them not to read it.

Also, has anyone noticed that a lot of people believe LOTF is about cannabalism? I thought so to, til I read it. Everytime I bring up LOTF to someone, they always say, "isn't that the one where they eat each other?" Does anyone know how that rumor got around. It really vexes me!

Oh my gosh! That was brilliant! Quite, quite brilliant! Even though I started reading Lord of the Flies when I was about - what was it? - nine-ish? And then conked out when the boys killed that pig ... I found it too disturbing for my little mind, and the horror I felt has put me off rereading it since. *winks* But I really loved this - I read your story about the Elven poet on the Barrowdowns (liked it muchly), but this was even better - it really brought out the characters' personalities (from what I can remember ... ho hum ... *grins*).

It helps to see what an actual twelve year old thought of the book~ I can't seem to remember *how* I thought when I was twelve~ I remember thoughts from that time period, but not how I processed thoughts- so when I'm reading the book and go 'Why didn't they just... That's what I would've done!' Then I'm like... "But what would I have done when I was twelve?" And, of course, I don't know! Am I making any sense?! o_0 Anyway, again, this was great- it was sad, short, and bittersweet - and I happen to really enjoy these type stories and yours shall definitely find a place on my favorites ^__^ Very good first LotF fanfic~~ maybe you can write a second, no? ^_^
