| Yami Vizzini 2007-11-01 ch 7, | abuseThis series has me so on edge that I sat down and read through this story in one day even though I had intended to finish reviewing everything else I've read, and it's maybe a week later that I'm finally sitting down and giving it the attention it deserves! I have to say, I hadn't seen beforehand how the a'ladon were so "pivotal", but I guess that's what a pivotal moment is, since I can never forget them now. Are the ending notes on a'ladon culture part of the original story, or did you compile them? And as much as I like T.K. and Kari, I hope the series doesn't bash Davis as much as the language notes suggest (I expect the People woudn't care for "D'aevis" too much). It's amazing how these stories aren't actually of uber-epic length but contain enough character detail to keep the reader engaged for quite a while, both while reading and afterward. It is truly a blessing that kale allowed these stories to live on and that you are willing to keep them available. I'd appreciate it if anyone knows the title of kale's novel (or at least his real name). |
| roguespirit 2007-04-09 ch 7, | abuseI loved this story, going to my favorites now |
2004-01-25 ch 7, anon. | abusegreat fic u should be proud really |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 7, | abuseGreat language notes. Expanded upon, this could become a real, stand alone series with background like this. Shame kale didn't take this with him into his own professional writing. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 6, | abuseAnd even better. Kale's romance is never based upon sap. Sappy can be good, but it gets used so often in fanfiction that it's disgusting. Kale's is solid and magical all at the same time. Rare talent. Very rare. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 5, | abuseI love the a'ladon. Really. The child and adult forms are both very interesting, in different ways. As I read, I can actually see the evolution taking place in my mind. Awesome. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 4, | abuseHonestly, kale's writing has no weaknesses. He does heros well, he does villians well, he does romance extremely well and his action is without peer. And his stories all have that delightful human touch and magical quality to them. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 3, | abuseI just love how playful and naughty Kari is with T.K. in some of these fics. A little OOC? Maybe. But it adds a depth to her character and relationship that is sorely needed. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 2, | abuseSee what I mean? Takeru's vows. A soul that isn't romantic just couldn't write something like that. And it is used so well within the stories that it makes it that much more special. I even plagerized a little of that in a note to my own girlfriend the other day. (But don't tell anyone). |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 1, | abuseA great introduction to a fantastic world. Kale's creation of the a'ladon and their relationship with T.K. and Kari remains a masterwork to this day. |
