The story was wonderful. This possibility, that Hiko was given the choice to die or live, and his experience while in limbo, is a twist I never would have thought of. You made it work.

Hiko the 13th inheritor meeting the Hiko who started it all, AND Kamiya Koshijirou, father of Kaoru.

*grins* there's a side-story Watsuki-sensei put near the end in manga 6; it's about THE Hiko Seijuro during the Sengoku Jidai (Warring States Era in the, i think, Murumachi Era). he looks cool (handsome would be the correct term, by Okon's standards *warily eyes the older female Oniwabanshuu*) but when he pulls off Mitsurugi... a little odd. (who keeps their legs straight and together while in combat and midair? that defies physics! then again, practically nearly all the moves in RK defy almost every law of physics...)

SWEET! fic from Hiko's POV! i've always preferred the manga over the anime, though i'm torn between the two in reality. wonderful portrayal of Hiko-san! straight to his arrogant self and self-confidence.

Interesting perspective on Hiko and I was very surprised on the connection between Kamiya sensai and Hiko sensai. I'll bet that you wrote this with you Two Blades of a Sakabatou in mind. The background of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu was impressive. Do you have any actual documentation from Canon on this or ist it all Authur's Perogative?
