Midge Magpie 2004-12-10 . chapter 1Agh. You aim to make us all cry. *snrff*
Interesting that there is another "Bella" in the Potter-verse. Gad, they're opposites, aren't they? Strangely fitting.
I'm going to go wibble into my tea now; good night. |
Mariagoner 2004-06-20 . chapter 1 Amazingly poignant, and kudos for not shirking away from the fact that neither Arabella nor Alastor are exactly conventionally attractive. Great story. |
darlingdearheart 2003-12-27 . chapter 1I love this fic. It's one of my favorites ever. Not to mention it's one of the pairings I tend to favor.
It's not some weird fic where Mad-Eye is too strict or gruff. IT's perfect. You even added some awkwardness when he came to the door.
A stroke of brilliance.
I can only hope some one would write a fic with this pairing in the furture as it makes perfect sense.
Another wonderful job from the best writer!
Much to ya,

mad-eye-amarad 2003-12-19 . chapter 1^^ cute!! i never imagined alastor with arabella (rather with tonks, lmao) but in the end the story is good and sweet. i really enjoyed it, thought im not much into romance.
you know how to express the feelings of the grumpy moody ^^ im sure he has some! :P |
Biichan 2003-10-15 . chapter 1That was beautiful. Really. Even Alastor liked it and you put him with a _girl_. |
Aeryn Alexander 2003-08-04 . chapter 1That was really wonderful. It's nice that they both have someone now. Great story! |
Crow3 2003-06-30 . chapter 1Another wonderful story! I'm truly enjoying reading this whole series of stories. They are all well written, intricate pieces of work on characters that are often forgotten or trivialized in the fandom. How easy is it to make a joke out of Moody, but you've shown us in exquisite detail his pain...and his triumph over it. A beautiful story. |
Someone Reading 2003-05-28 . chapter 1 Beautiful. Simply, woderfully, gloriously, beautiful.
I had read Pride of Lions first, then finally went back and found WoC CoE, The Emerald Mark, now this...I am speechless almost :). Crying my eyes out as I type (so please forgive any typos). You are truly talented, a wonderful story teller. Thank you so much for these beautiful, beautiful stories. I so look forward to reading your works.
Thank you, thank you. |
Emily Ray 2003-04-27 . chapter 1This is a very impressive piece of writing. You portray Alastor's thoughts at the beginning with just the right mixture of nostalgia and anger, making him a very sympathetic character.
I love your take on what happened to Arabella. It's exactly the kind of tragedy that could easily happen when the world is only just recovering from crisis, and it's very affecting.
Criticism - I found the story a little difficult to get into at the beginning. It wasn't until around the sixth paragraph that the pace picked up. I think that's the only problem I had, and it may have something to do with having only just got out of bed. :)
Otherwise - wonderful story, with a plausible pairing I'd never considered before. I have to say I love this entire fic-web of yours... and I can't wait until it increases in size!
Keep writing,
-Emily Ray |
 Saya-Sato 2003-04-14 . chapter 1Wow
that was so sweet. really well written. i like the way you portray the real moody, since we dont really hear that much about the *real* him in the book, just the copy using polyjuice potion. i havent read any stories with him like this, i thought you did a great job, it was unique and very very sweet.
Saya
ps- sweet is a really stupid word, but i couildnt think of anything else to use for the term i was looking for. sorry about that :) |
