Very cool! You added so much depth to the story.

I enjoyed this story very much. It was wonderful the way you gave us Cole's impressions from the scenes and dialogue we knew from the show. I loved his feelings toward Mel from early on. The hint of the connection, so true, and so sweet. The description in scientific terms of our species and Earth was quite amusing in its truth. I laughed out loud every time Mel "bared her teeth" at Cole in the car. I loved the ending and how Cole knew Mel was providing him with new strength he hadn't possessed before. Great fic!

Like this a LOT... retelling the pilot ep from Cole's point of view was definitely an ambitious undertaking, and you did a wonderful job of it. I can see him thinking and feeling all of this. Cole's pain at initially taking a human form is great, as is Mel's concern over his "fever". Cole being more sure of approaching Mel because she's worried about him is great, a reminder that this is 'hostile territory' for him. His confusion and uncertainty over this new environment he finds himself in is wonderfully handled, and I love his uncertainty over and distaste for clothes. Cole promising Mel that he'd lower his temperature and then following through was cute :) can just see Mel freaking a bit over that. And although Cole's reflections on bringing about his own death are a bit distressing, I like how you handled it. Can see it. And I LOVE his reaction to Mel's touch, versus his reaction to everyone else's touch.

The end is absolutely beautiful, and I just ADORE that last line. More soon, please :)

Marvelous! Well written from begining to end and I particularly liked the story being done from Cole's point of view. Do you plan to do anymore stories in this fashion? I hope so!
