Dragon-of-the-north 2003-11-23 . chapter 1
This is a very well-written story, and a brilliant exploration of the "dragon spell" phenomenon - I always wondered what exactly was going on in Túrin's head at that moment, and this is a gripping and frightening vision of what it could have been like - it makes his decision seem understandable... I liked that you gave Túrin visions of all the bad things he unintentionally caused and especially of the friends his actions killed directly or indirectly... First Beleg's death (an individual victim), then the fall of a whole elven city, with Gwin & Fin as the most prominent victims, all the guilt deriving from that, and then the "wrong link" in the chain, the vision of what could have happened at Túrins home (and even though the reader knows that things turned out a little bit different, Túrin does not, of course...)... Very gripping and an awesome job on the whole! :-)

This really is beautifully written, Aralanthiriel; excellent evocation of tense, intense moment in Turin's tragic life.

Thank you! :)
