Self-control is where one finds it, I suppose, and it seems his takes strength from recognizing the same in Margolotta. Whew again. This one was gorgeous, and it made me do more than a bit of mental exercise. Do you know, my own fics move better and faster when I have good ones to read, even though there's a world of difference between the Discworld and anime? The way you've written the characters isn't always the same way they appear in my head, but it's all so plausable I can't help being completely swept into the story, until I have to wait for the next chapter to load. BUNNICULA!! g I thought Margolotta's Bunnicula pajamas added a nice touch of comic relief to a rather dark chapter, I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter! By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Marglotta with the pajamas would make a great piece of fanart? releases art-bunny into the wild

Just thinking about him showing that much emotion (and losing control to Margoletta) is enough to throw off the mental gyroscope-- --but we all need to be kept on our toes, don't we? So keep at it, please!

I especially liked the bit when Drumknot takes the breakfasts in. Hope you get time to update soon. Caddie.

The Grynne 2003-05-31 ch 7,	abuseYou say that you finally have a plot; I don't know whether this means that you didn't have one before or whether it's simply never displayed itself until this stage of the story, but in either case, the reader can certainly feel it. The writing is taut and driven, and I felt an immense rush of satisfaction upon learning that Vetinari was listening in, invisible, while the conspirators talked about him. Night Watch (and the "tiger" prank on Downey) taught me that Vetinari is not above revenge, but he has grown up a lot since, and I'm interested to see what shape his revenge will take now.
