i love it :)

Pain that shatters with a fist into a thousand shards to cut and draw blood. That's what this fic is to me. The denial, all of it, is gorgeous. The stubbornness is devine. The realizations... the most heartbreaking thing of all.

Absolutely wonderful story. The characterizations are both exactly what we've seen on the show and somehow more, showing more of the characters while still being believable, and the two POVs compliment each other very well. I like that it's an Ephram/Bright story (not slash, necessarily, just Ephram/Bright) without really having almost any scenes of them having anything to do with each other; you can still feel the connection in their lives and how they relate to their circumstances very keenly.

Good job. Write more!

So, wow. I love it! I think this is the first Everwood fanfic that I've ever actually liked, and it's with good reason. I love that you show it from so many perspectives, that you've got this recurring theme through it all, that you show Bright as someone bore than just the dumb older brother. I love that you show how he thinks of Amy as the pesky little sister sometimes but that he cares about her anyway... it's just really, really good.

wow, wow, wow. i haven't ready any fics that dealt with the ramifications of colin hurting ephram and bright, but apparently, that's because i was waiting for this fic all along.

i like the simplistic style, the somewhat underwhelming tone of the story. but it works because it's a fic that speaks volumes with it's theme of denial and pain and how you present it with both ephram and bright's viewpoint.

it's a great fic i wish didn't end so soon.

This was an awesome story. Your characterizations of Bright, Ephram and Amy were right on. It's good that you showed that bright does have a heart. It's also good to see a well written story not involving mushy romance or slash for that matter.

Loved this fic. Bright and Ephram's characterizations were right on, and so were Amy and Colin's, even though they weren't the main characters in this fic. The words and lines in this haunt you long after you've finished reading it.

I liked it. Good imagery -- ending a little too dramatic, but possibly appropriate for such a dramatic town.

Wow. That was fantastic. It's such a welcome change of pace to read some really good, non-romance-centric, Everwood fic.

You have the characterization of everyone down really well. I felt like I was inside Bright and Ephram's heads. I adore Bright, and there isn't nearly enough fic about him.

I loved the little details you incorporated from the episode, even though they didn't necessarily relate to the Colin storyline. Delia's misadventures, Ephram's manga...they all became part of the whole as you skilfully wove them in. A lovely example of how the things we do and experience affect everything around us.

One minor fault: the character is "A Secret Garden" is Dickon, not Dickson, I believe.
