M 2004-05-05 ch 1, anon.	abuseThe first part was very dramatic and evocative. You made the reader feel what Auron was fighting and dieing for. The part where he lay beaten, but then get up to continue on after death was great. Of course, I enjoyed the interaction and bit of romance between Auron and Lulu a lot as well. Very nice. As for any short comings, the previous readers pretty much covered them.
Monou Hakkai 2003-11-14 ch 1,	abuseInteresting idea...and it's a good start for something you've posted for the first time. The Auron/Lulu pairing is probably the coupling I admire the most :P. Their characterisation was pretty convincing from the beginning. I think most people here, apart from myself, did find it abrupt when Lulu suddenly said to Auron that she loved him o.O But it was a sweet story. And it's okay, nobody is perfect when it comes to romance. Not even me XD. I will try to review your other stories ^_^ later on. Good job.
lynnxlady 2003-11-06 ch 1,	abuseHey! I finally got to your fics, and I have to say, I'm glad I did. The premise for this fic is definitely unique. I think Lulu might have a comment in-game about how she's never gone farther than the Calm Lands, because of Lady Ginnem's death and the way Father Zuke decided to disconinue his pilgrimage - but that's just a tiny bit of AU, and I can imagine Lulu being strong enough to go to Zanarkand on her own. I think I liked the beginning the best. The first scene was very eerie and it flowed nicely - battle scenes can be tricky that way but you did an excellent job. Also, I liked the idea about Yunalesca scarring Auron so deeply that the scars remained with him even in his unsent form. I've always thought he just chose to keep his appearance from just before his death, but I rather like your theory too. It's certainly interesting. While I didn't mind Lulu's "I love you" - it's the sort of thing a girl might think, though Lu's rather sensible - I'm not sure she would say it. Also, you might want to watch for a few instances of redundancy, for example, "Slowly, he drew the -large- blade out of its proper sheath on his back, feeling the perfect balance of the somewhat -large- sword." (emphasis mine) All in all an enjoyable read. I'll have to take a look at the latter fics in this series sometime. ^_^
