That was so cute. I'm actually crying. I'm not sure if its just my eyes tearing from staring at the screen for like the two straight hours I've been reading fics, or if its your story, but either way it was excellent.

jd84, I am not attacking you ... or flaming ... I absolutely LOVE your fics, all right? I'm just kind of pissed, because I love your Chlark so much. I know there's a lot of other Chlark authors out there - I read them, too! It's YOUR Chlark-y scenes that I will miss. You should be flattered!

But okay, whatever - I still hope you change your mind.

I'm just starting really to get into Smallville and I totally love Chloe/Clark pairing.

Alright, guys. You're taking this *way* to seriously. No one accused me of being narrow minded and insincere when I stopped writing Lex/Lana romance. It's just a show, just a story. If I'm not inspired to write Chlark, then I don't write Chlark. If you want some excellent Chlark, go read ILoveClarkkent. But do not (Sylphide) attack my character for a decision I make about something as trivial as a pairing.

As for everyone else who simply asked "why?" (Margoks) I will try my best to be inspired by the show, but if I'm not, I'm truly sorry. There are a ton of excellent Chlark authors out there and I hope you find one you like! Thanks for your support. I really appreciate it.

I am appalled.

Absolutely appalled. Not that this wasn't good, because it was GREAT! I am appalled that this will be your last Chlark. With all your talk about diversity and to accept your new Clana insights and Chlexy thoughts - you decide to give up on the one thing that keeps the Smallville fiction world going round. I don't believe you. I can't believe this.

I thought I knew you as a writer and a faithful and loyal reader. I thought I did, I really thought so, joedan84. I thought so. I guess I was wrong.

I'm not really that into Smallville but i've seen the occasional episode and all i can say is a) almost all the story lines are taken from various episodes of the x files (which at least has a gorgeous man in it) and b) clark and lana have to get together because in actual Superman (or Lois and Clark to you Yanks) there was one i saw where it was like an alternative universe and Lois and Clark didn't know each other and he as still with his high school sweetie... Miss Lana Lang. Who was a total bitch.

And she has much nicer hair than Chloe so of course he's going to pick her!

Cute story though...

You must write that which inspires you but remember that in fiction, especially in fan fiction, stories that happen outside canon can keep you going when the canon of a show is mightily depressing. Often, non-canon works can be of better quality and make more sense than what you see on the show. Here, for instance, you've made Clark smarter than he is on the show and unafraid to try something. Not a bad thing, IMHO. I know it's nice to have the show inspire us to write but don't let the show stop you from writing a particular pairing if you feel the urge.

Yes! finally clark realizes his feelings for chloe! way to go! do not do other pairings with chloe, please! they're so cliche and overrated anyway. In alot of ways, I can really relate to clark, and in other more personal ways, I can really relate to chloe. keep up the great work!
