Techgardist 2007-05-08 . chapter 2 Good story so far. I´m realy interested what happens next to the 505.
Just a note on the side the proper name for the german unit
would be 10th Panzerkämpfer (Panzerkaempfer). |
Captain A.D.D 2006-09-25 . chapter 1This is a pretty good story the only problem I had was that you kept switching from Federation POV and Jion so it got confusing. I'm writing a Gundam fic that probably wont see the light of day but I was wondering if I could mention the 505th in it, it would be a small mention when one of the characters says he wish he was in Mexico with the 505th instead of in Alaska with the 38th |
MS Ultra 2006-08-23 . chapter 6First of I'd like to say that my eyes hurt from reading, when I started and got further in it I just couldn't stop.
I love those Mexican guerillas, they make the Vietcong look like nothing. And Garma visiting a Jion Base so close to the Fedicho territories without bodyguards or a retinue, quite bold to say the least. This might sound stupid but the entire time I was expecting to see a Danny Trejo-character pop up ^^.
On a side note, I noticed some minor grammatical errors, altough that might be the fault of always happen with my texts too. Also maybe some kind of warning when you switch from Jion to Fedicho POV and back.
Awaiting next chapter. |
Ryan 2006-08-06 . chapter 6 Very nicely done even if it took forever.
The one main gripe I have above all else is that it is very hard to tell who is speaking at times. One paragraph we are with the Zeon and the next we are in a Federation camp with no way to know the difference. I could tell when we were switching between the 505th and other Zeon forces, but when it switched sides it got very confuseing. Some sort of devider in the text would be helpful when transitioning between Zeon and Federal forces. |
Ominae 2006-08-05 . chapter 6 Not a bad story. Have read it before, but didn't feel like reviewing til new material arrived.
Safe to say that it's a good chapter. (GRINS!) |
Mamoru 2006-06-14 . chapter 5 Ah another great fic! I really love reading your stuff, and I can't seem to get enough of it. Quinto Sol is screeaming for an update if you ask me though. I twould really be great if you got done with it. Well anyways keep up the good work, no matter waht you have been up to! |
kishiria 2004-11-02 . chapter 5I'm using the ones from MSV. As far as I'm concerned, ZZ never happened. I hate that show.
Luna's not colourblind; she's just being Latina. However, when covered with dust, the pink fades and has a curiously camouflaging effect. |
Ryan 2004-11-01 . chapter 5 Glad to see this up and running again.
A blue and pink Zaku? Ew. Makes me wonder if Luna is somewhat colorblind.
All around I like this chapter. I do have one question though. Are you useing the MS-06D Zaku Desert type from the MSV line or the MS-06D Desert Zaku from ZZ? They are similar but noticeably different and looking over the specs it is hard to determine which is being used. |
His Divine Shadow 2004-06-13 . chapter 4CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AUTHOR!
This fic, for those not in the know and/or not paying attention, just got awarded the Gundam Watch Gold Fanfiction status! It's about BLOODY time, too. If you haven't read this story, do so and you'll KNOW why it deserves that award and so much more. A toast to an honor well-deserved! Prosit! |
Ryan 2003-11-21 . chapter 4 I am pleased that you have not givin up on this fic. There is a couple things about the mecha that are slightly wrong. First the MS-06D Desert Zaku uses a 105mm machinegun, not a 120mm. Secondly and more importantly, the Desert Zaku has 2 fire-linked vulkcan guns mounted in the head. Therefore they all could shoot at aircraft with vulcans, yes Garma's Zaku has 4 40mm machineguns in the head, but the point is that he wasn't the only one with vulcans to use.
Also another note on the 06D, it has a top running speed of 80kph. All other mecha factos are correct.
I'm not blameing you for the discrepencys, I understand that a battle may be easy to visualize in the mind, but can be a royal PITA to write down on paper.
I particulary like the way you humanize Garma in that he is not all that different from the common soldger other that being royality. |
The author 2003-11-15 . chapter 4 I forgot to put in one acknowledgement. Garma's song is "La Pistola y El Corazon" by Los Lobos. I don't know why my formatting always gets messed up. |
Ryan 2003-05-22 . chapter 2 In Chavez's case a mexican who went as far north as you can get.
It seems that war, no matter what the era, has a way of devistateing the landscape.
Very good character development. I can't wait for what is in store for Chavez and co. next. |
Lady Une-chan a.k.a. Mirai 2003-05-21 . chapter 2Great story you've got going on here. I like the whole Mexican thing. The Kai reference was funny!
Ja ne,
Mirai ^_~ |
SporkGoddess (not logged in) 2003-05-20 . chapter 1 Hehe, I caught the Garma reference! Aren't you proud? *cough* Anyway, I really enjoyed this chapter. I can definitely see how the Earthnoids find the Spacenoides soft and the Spacenoids find them primitive (I wonder if that was the case with everyone?). I loved the characterization, and the apparent humanity in all of the characters. Already, I can kind of catch their personalities even though there's only 2 chapters so far. And, maybe it's because you're in Mexico right now, but this whole story just has the whole flair of the Mexican culture in it.
Oh, and I didn't know that "mija" is a way of saying "my daughter." Is it a shortening of "mi hija"? Because that would make sense... yeah. ^_^ |
Ryan 2003-05-06 . chapter 1 Very good begining. This 505th Company of yours sounds much like a counterpart group of Ramba Ral's unit. Complete with the unit leader's wife along for the ride.
BTW, you said the unit had been on Earth since March 4th 0079. What is the current date in this fic? Has Gundam been deployed yet?
I noticed talk of the Gouf mobile suit as being developed and infering that the first units have been sent out to the front in Asia. This would mean that the Dom is in the stage of moving from the drawing board to the prototype stage.
Knowing this I would guess the time to be somewhere in Late September to Early October. |
