I'm...speechless. For once it my life, I don't have anything to say. This is...I can't even find a word...amazing? That doesn't do it justice at all...

Expect, from me, a "fanfiction of fanfiction." I accept your challenge with great enthusiasm.

2004-04-26 . chapter 2
That was so sad! If I had the heart to do it, I would write an ending, perhaps I will sometime. Excellent! But I'm so glad Frodo left for the Grey Havens in the end of LotR! :)

Hello Skye12, this is just to tell you I have just put up the sequel to this story so you can go check it out if you want to.
Oh, I suddenly realised that I hadn't reviewed this story before, and I'll tell you now it's great.

Oh! That is torture! You must continue! Poor poor Frodo!

2004-03-10 . chapter 2
That was amazing... You progressed Frodo through the stages of madness in a calculating manner, and I never cry while reading a story, but I wept like a child... This is great. You have true talent, may you go far with it, and forever tihr a'lahn, though I cannot say the same for Frodo. *tear*

Ohh...tears are wunning down my face. I am shaking so badly that every three letters I have to go back and correct a typo. This is terrifying. It's even more scary as this is what could have happened...
I'll try to take you up on your challenge, but blimey, it won't be this good.

Wow, check out the date! people are still reading this, and still crying over it...
This is unbelievable! Maybe I just haven't read enough of these fics, but I haven't seen any others take this angle of the story. I can see this is where Frodo would have been if the undying lands were not offered. You paint such a vivid picture of his misery it leaves me speechless (almost). Just wondering if you've found yourself of a mood to possibly continue..?

Brilliant, and heart breaking. What a sad, sad ending for such a noble mind, and a wonderful hobbit! On the other hand, I must applaud the originality of this fan-fic, in that you neither resort to sappy, over-done dialogue, or a Hal-mark ending. Few things in life ever end as well as they do in the books, so I don't see why fanfic should be any different. Well done.

This is heart breaking, and so moving! What a sad ending to such a noble hobbit. You need to write some more, although this story could certainly stand on its own. Excellent!!

MY GOSH! THAT'S A GREAT STORY! I will cry for days now, *sob sob* *snif snif* O what the heck! *starts crying uncontrolably with head in arms which are on the keyboard, and then starts hitting the computer table with a fist*

Now I'm finally able to write reviews and they do not show up, even after two days .

so, once again:
This is a wonderful story. I like it very much,
even if it makes me cry...

and thank you for reviewing

All right, I'm (finally) taking you up on that. :p After much hemming and hawing and sitting on this ficlet, I decided to just go ahead and post it already. It is a follow-up to yours and Aemilia Rose's extension of yours, called "Holding On" (http://w.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1370601). I hope you enjoy it. :)
