Good to see this story isn't completely dead, thanks for posting.

This is very, very, interesting. I can't wait for more. I just ask that you keep in mind that everyone seems to be considering it to be Slayer vs. Mutant. There is the possibility of both. Or I've seen people write the concept as the slayer entity suppressing the mutation. I'm interested in seeing how you will resolve this. I love that we get to see enemies trying to be civil because they're now family. How bizarre and entertaining.

I can understand Joyce wanting answers. After all, one daughter is a slayer, her other daughter may have inherited Mystiques abilities, and with all that is going on, Giles CANNOT give her answers! But at least she has not gone for the throat. Giles is doing the best that he can with this situation.

I think I like this even better than Family Trees -- it's probably the lack of teen angst and hormones making the writing muddled. Things are a lot more concise, the time-line you set up is not contradicted as much, and I guess the humor of Joyce making demon puree probably has to do with it too.

Can't wait to have Sabretooth meet Angel, whether because of Joyce or Buffy. :snickers:

So Dawn is a shape-shifter. I can imagine how wigged Scott is. And what about the rest of the Scoobies? They basically get adopted by Joyce while she's still alive, does that bring them under Sabertooth's, or Victor or Creed whatever, protection?

Scott does bring up a interesting idea, about Buffy possibly being a mutant. And I agree with Tooth on this (Will wonders never cease?!?) Fighting by oneself against these creatures IS NOT ADVISABLE!

Congratulations, if there was one character in BtVS that deserved super-powers, Joyce was definitely her. I think you threw me, a bit, when you decided to make Victor and Scott vaguely related, but I guess I can live with it.

It still would have been nice to get the bunch in on the Brotherhood's side before introducing the X-Men.

I love Joyce's attitude with her father, and how she makes him behave.

So, Buffy could be a mutant, after all. It could be interesting.

One thing I just keep wondering about is the Cruciamentum. Considering Buffy's family, I really hope that Giles does not perform it at all, for his own sake. Because Sabertooth, and maybe even Joyce, would gut first and ask questions later. And I'm not sure the Council would survive the aftermath.
