So much for waiting until after the exams to read this story again... But it was time well spent, even if it cost me a bit of my sleep.

You hava a way to suck someone right into your story from the very beginning and I just couldn't stop until I'd read it all in one go.

I love your characters, not only Hethlin, but also Mablung and Anborn and Angrim and even Arcag who I think is the best horse ever. xD

I admire your skill at writing Hethlin the way she is without making her into a Mary Sue; if any other dared to write an OC with such a tragic past and such skills, it would surely be one. But you manage to justify her skills and make her human and I love how she's slowly recuperating and not talking until her concern for Faramir won't let her keep silent anymore.

Despite all the tragic it was just incredible sweet how they took care of her and how the rangers saw her as one of their own and Faramir being concerned about her safety and Boromir accepting her skills.

Boromir... I never really liked him in the books, but here I would totally go and marry him. His realtionship with his brother is just too sweet to name, how he took a day off with him and took care of him when he was wounded. I also love how he handles Hethlin, and I laughed when he said 'I think I'm in love' after she killed the Mumak. That's the right way into his heart. xD

I also loved the brief mentioning of Eowyn and how she'd probbly eat Faramir alive - hello foreshadowing. xD

And Faramir is of course spot on, exactly how we like and love him. Although I'm wondering at the daisy in his hair there at th end. xD

I hope this overly long rant makes up for my lack of reviews till now; when I started this again, I wanted to review every chapter, but I just couldn't stop reading long enough to do so.

Yay! Thank you for giving a wonderful background story for Hethlin. It's vastly appreciated, and a great tale in and of itself. I most especially love it when she finally earns her place among the Rangers by 'rescuing' Boromir and eventually gets her new name - and horse. Arcag is certainly... unique? I think that's the word I'm looking for... Thanks!

The Hethlin stories are still my favourite fanfiction even after years of reading fanfictio and i can assure you i read quite a few fanfics! I'd love it if you could continue Swan Lord, would be really great!

You beat me, Isabeau- I have two weeks before I graduate with a master's degree. And I could not be happier! I can't explain why, but your writing and your characters really make my day/week/month. What a welcome surprise, an update to Heth-verse! I did feel it wasn't as in-depth as some of your other narratives have been... perhaps you were ready to be done with it? Perhaps you like tormenting us! :) In any case, the story was told, beautifully so, and I declare myself, for the moment, appeased.

Hurrah! I'd actually been re-reading a few of your stories in the last couple days, and I was gleeful at finding there was an update! I'm afraid I'm a very poor reviewer, since I love what you write, and was making incoherent little gleeful noises at Heth in the last chapter. :D

Welcome back! I am so glad that you found time to conclude this excellent story. Your writing is amazing, as always. I love the detail that you weave into your narrative. Your command of character absolutely shines. This final scene is one that I always hoped you would find time to write, and it is beautifully told. (I always am a little awed by people who can write battle scenes. Do you read books with battle scenes, or do they come from your own imagination?) At any rate, this was a superb conclusion.

Now if we could just figure out if and to whom our Hethlin gets to marry . . .
