I saw this fic again and I still remembered it from several years ago and it still makes an impression. This is one of the first fics I ever read since I started reading fanfiction in particular those on which was at least 7 years ago even before I got my own account on this site.

Anyway this is a classic Suikoden fic and in my mind it always will be. It was unique to have the whole story told from Sonya Schulen's perspective and we get to see Teo McDohl's stance as towards his son's rebellion and how much it affects Sonya as well.

This is a classic work on Fanfiction and I was glad to have been able to find it again!

recently delved into the world of Suikoden Fanfics, gotta say, this definitely tops the recent S3 and S2 stuff. Kudos to you.

This is superb and incredibly in-depth. Sonya was always one of my favourite characters and you have showed why. Personally Sonya talking to Alen and Grenseal was an excellent idea. the dialogue is perfect, layout of the battle and perhaps the ironic statement by Sonya about her having a soft spot for lost causes id great.
There is so much i can say like how you expertly showed Sonya's view of Gregminster over time and the logic of why she and Teo remained to the empire.
I can really go on but the truth is there is no need as it can all but be summed into one little word.

You know what? I have -never- read this story, despite the fact that it's been around a long time. This is the first I read it and I'm glad I did. The description was very vivid as was Sonya's characterization. Also, it inspired me to start my fiftieth game in Suikoden. I can't wait until you finish Dark Empress.

Hehehhehehehe this story rocks, DK...too bad stupid Kurt Flid ripped off your cool ideas and dialogue...VERY good portrayal of Sonya's relationship...I know Konami was never too big when it came to romance (at least, not in the Suikodens), which makes this story all the more better. Um...anything else I forgot to mention? Don't worry...you haven't heard the last of me.. _

This is unmatched. I have never read a story with such feeling before, the portrail of caracter is unbeliveable.
