What a surprisingly beautiful story! It was both agonizing and inspiring to see Moody go through receiving and then healing from his many injuries. My heart ached along with Minerva's. The love-making scene at the end scene was incredibly poignant as well-- not squicky at all, as it would be in the hands of other people. Wonderful work.

Very well done. Wonderful how open-minded that prim Scots professor is. But you make it right, so this story is not PWP, but the love of a friend for a friend. The more I see of your Min and Alastor the more pleasure they give me.
BTW, I loved the treatment of Minerva's fun wizarding world bodice-ripper collection. That comedy lightened what might otherwise have been a sad story, and served the added purpose of illustrating how well the two know each other.
I'm posting a review to each of your fics on FFN, now I've read them all. Don't feel obliged to respond to each individually (or even at all, unless there's something you want to discuss). This remark should have been in the review for WoC, CoE, but FFN said 'no story' when i posted that, so maybe it will get through this time...

First let me say that I whole-heartedly approve of the love and friendship you wove between these two characters. Second, let me say that while the sexual aspect of this piece makes me uncomfortable as a concept, I must acknowledge that you handled it with warmth and respect. I don't mean respect in that you employed lots of euphemisms, but that you were sensitive to what was appropriate and maintained compassion and realism. So you won me over to it. Third, you have a very good command of flow: this piece is like a stream. The only suggestion I have for you is that the explanation of Alastor Moody's capture, injury and rescue doesn't seem whole. "Someone had figured out" doesn't go with the precision of the rest of the account. Also, why does one auror go alone to capture several death eaters? It is the story's only major weak point.

Excellent story! I loved how you handled this story, which could have so easily fallen into melodrama. Instead, you conveyed the enduring love and friendship of these two adults.

OH MY GOD! I was just wandering around fanfiction.net, and had a what the heck moment.

All I can say is...INCREDIBLE. I laughed, I cried, I'm still crying and making typos. and trying to fix them too. This was so beautiful. Sweet, tender, loving, passionate...So wonderful. I was a little surprised by Min and Alastor but this was so wonderful!
You are truly a talented writer. Thank you for such a lovely story. I'm gonna go read it again. Once I finish crying!
