The only place you need to improve on is their speech. When you don't use contractions they sound too mechanical and dry. You need to write it as the character would talk.

Also, you could put something to show that the scene is changeing, like holding down the underscore key.

Another thing is that you've got them too trusting. After all they've been through they wouldn't just believe everything a strange digimon says.

Overall it's a decent story.

cocomon as in the evolved form of lopmon?

I'm satisfied, just as long as Ruki got one of those Digimon that fans usually look down on; she can prove them wrong easily. Henry's Cocomon, I kind of expected something like that. I see a weird conection between the Digimon and tamers, you know VeemonDavisgogglesTakato. I'm not going to say for any others, I need to find the connection. I like the fact that Takato got Veemon though; I like Veemon. ;) It's going great.

So Takato got a Veemon, huh? Kind of reminds me of FireHedgehog's story called Twisted Destiny. It's where Davis's partner ends up becoming partnered to Takato when this dark entity seals Davis's soul in a necklace. I really want to see the end of that story...

Anyway, great chapter and I wonder what Guilmon and Calumon are doing while the human characters are battling each other. Well, hope to read more when you have time to update.

That was confusing, Melinda. And where are the other partners? Are they with the group? Who will get what Digimon for the Tournament? UPDATE ASAP!

You should pair Ruki up with someone apparantly small and weak and she should be a little uncomfortable with it so everyone has a reason to doubt her but then she should show them what they can do. Kazu should get something strong but be unable to control it. The others should get something different from thier digimon. (personality, strengths, weaknesses, and digimon.) Give them all a challenge to thier usual taming.
