2008-06-13 . chapter 1
I have added this story to my C2 Of the House of Finarfin, which is a collection of stories about the various members of the house of Finarfin and their deeds. I hope you don't mind.

A very interesting idea. I also have wondered what might have happened if Aegnor and Andreth married; although my own imagination involved Thingol having to eat his words about having no mortals in Doriath, since the house of Beor are now in-laws. By the way, Nargothrond is spelt Nargothrond, not Nargathrond.

Read this a long time ago. I just noticed that you updated on a story so I'm wondering if this one will ever have a chance of being finished. I really hope more chapters will be added to this!

I am in love with this story! I am writing something similar, but it stars Finrod and Amarie. It's about what might have happened had Amarie went with Finrod into exile. It's actually harder than I thought because I have to change everything basically and my muse likes to wander. A lot. Too much. I do hope you will be able to finish this. I just love Aegnor and Andreth. Now their love story is tragic compared to Romeo and Juliet. May you please continue writing this story?

This is the most daring and fascinating Tolkien AU I've ever seen, and I've always kind of wondered how it would turn out. I'm glad someone gave it a shot and got it off to such a beautiful start, and hoping that after nearly a year this story isn't dead yet.

I always found the story of Andreth and Aegnor to be one of the most poignant ones, and I was grieved for them that they could not be together, so this is good in that it gives them a well-deserved chance to be together. :)

No!!

Please dont leave it there! I am a huge fan of your Aegnor/Andreth fics and you can never write enough to satisfy me!

This was well rounded and lightly descriptive - which is the perfect way to write a Silm based fic. Readers are able to conjure their own mental images and not be inundated with overly flowery scripts.

Wonderful and PLEASE update soon! PLEASE!

Excellent chapter (but please announce your updates somewhere). You really know how to handle drama, and you have me on the edge of my chair. Please don't keep me there too long...
Good interaction between the brothers; they're very much in character, and I liked the little asides referring to family, etc. While it's true that Aegnor must make his own choice, I'm not sure Finrod doesnn't show a little too much bias here. But he does his best to remain objective.
I love Andreth's defiance: this is the woman we see in the Athrabeth, though without the bitterness, of course. Let's hope Aegnor gets over his cold water fear.

Jillian, you sneaky thing, adding a new chapter. You told me your muses were being stubborn! Guess you kept them from joyriding long enough to give you some inspiration.

I liked your using the chess game to make the comparison between Finrod and Aegnor's natures, very insightful. Good to see that Finrod is backing off and letting little brother make his own choice. Aegnor is lucky he didn't lose a body part to that sword, Andreth should certainly be frustrated enough with him by now to whack something off. So she was sneaking off to see Aunt Adandel, huh? To escape an arranged marriage it sounds like, good twist of events. Maybe that will put a little jealousy in Aegnor and start a fire under him to get him going!

Another good chapter. Hide the keys and make those two get started on the next one!

I stand corrected, you are right Aegnor is Arda's biggest fool. Make a move already you idiot!

2003-10-07 . chapter 5
Yet another creative twist. We're back to where it all started and neither seems to know that they've been sent back for another chance. The scene with Finrod singing Aegnor to sleep was very touching and Aegnor's suffering over his being away from Andreth is well done. You're once again showing your gift as a writer with this story, Jillian. Well done.

A second chance! Wonderful! And his reaction to her aged condition was very good, that his main thought would not be disgust for her, but dismay at the unfairness of the condition. The plot thickens... again, I am impressed with your very original treatment of this subject.
