| Icca 2005-05-13 ch 1, | abuseWoah! It's been said before by others, but you write a great Hojo :D I love this piece. I love the imagery you conjure up! Great job! |
| Thyme In Her Eyes 2004-11-06 ch 1, | abuseGreat work here; a surprisingly generous and touching view of the Hojo/Lucrecia relationship. You rarely see anything that's at all sympathetic to Hojo, so this was a welcome change. It's a tender and sad story, but there's something of an eerie edge to it too that works really well and suits the characters. I love this almost otherworldly atmosphere you build througout - beautiful work. |
| Ardwynna Morrigu 2004-07-20 ch 1, | abuseThat was beautiful and touching. Near the end I can see the slight seeds of what Hojo became afterwards. He's lost all he cares for. Nothing else will ever matter. Lovely piece! |
| Azumi Ayasaki 2003-06-30 ch 1, anon. | abuseHojo is absoulutley evil! Look what he did to poor, poor Vincent! Vincent didn't even Do anything, Hojo is and evil, megalomaniac, FAIRY! |
| AtheneMiranda 2003-06-29 ch 1, | abuseBeautiful...you show a much kinder Hojo/Lucretia than many I've seen (check out Ashrose's shortfics sometime - good stories, but angsty). That's very gentle and sad. And...I've heard some crazy ** about you lately, Jen... Reassurance would be nice, but I'm so not sure I'm going to get it. |
| Crimson Sun 2003-06-17 ch 1, | abuseI read this on...Jenova Prisoner, was it? It does not matter. I, for one, agree with Random Fan. There are just too few fans of Hojo out there. And it is indeed too rare we stumble across a good story about him. Strange as it is, the best Hojo stories I have read is of Hojo depicted as something he is...well, not. That does not matter much either, actually. What matters is that this is a very good fiction, and that you should write more! |
| Random Fan of Hojo 2003-05-29 ch 1, anon. | abuseUs fans of the great one wait and wait and wait, and finally there's a fic to satisfy our craving, and I for one, wasn't disappointed. This is really good. Really moving. Good explanation on how Lucrecia came to be in the cave in the first place, and rather clever way of explaining it. Your use of detail adds much to it.the rose bed, the description of the weather and its "conspiracy". All interwoven creates an engaging atmosphere. Well done. -_^ |
| Sephiroth1Ripley8 2003-05-29 ch 1, | abuseBeautifully written story; A nice break from the normal insanity but still very...well, Hojo for lack of a better description. Reminds me of a line from a movie: 'What's the last thing you do remember?' "My wife..." 'Aww that's sweet.' "...Dying." |
| The Jack of Spades 2003-05-28 ch 1, | abuseWow. Very, very nice. Descriptive without being flowery, and straight to the point. You don't see much work that's sympathetic to Hojo, and I rather like to read about his relationship with Lucrecia :) Always found that fascinating. Good job. |
