An interesting storyline that pits the Saotome vs. the Tendos, while killing of Genma in the beginning. This interesting plotline has left Ranma with the potential for a great amount of drive, anger, and skill. At the same time it allows for a number of personality problems (i.e. kids that grow up with their parents taken away from them would be expected to be emotionally different than those whose parents are still there).

The magic of the reality is also nice, although the problem with non-technology realities is that they should have a much less ... pleasant... outlook on the role of women in society, particularly in the peasant classes. There is a reason for the term "modern women", and for telling guys to get out of the stone ages.

The writing falls within my tolerances (not that I'm critical, quite the opposite, I just don't like when readers insert dialogue that is unrealistic to push the plotline and to explain things. Which this story seems -not- to do, which is nice.) So there, good story, please pump out 7-9 more chapters with the main character dying in the end, yet winning, like all great martial art movies from the 70s.

Well done! I like this story, and I like the way it's going. I am generally more used to Ranma travelling with Ryoga, and not Ryu Kumon, since it gives more opportunity for comic relief, but I can live with it. I don't really know much about Ryu's character, and what he's about, except for the Forbidden Techniques, so it would be nice to see his character developed a bit from the occasional grunted comment.
