Dora Mugworts 2003-07-27 . chapter 2Wow! Your imagery is very sharp, and so vivid that I could practically *hear* the sounds of what Thranduil was describing. More than that, what was really striking was the underlying sense of "What did we accomplish by this? Nothing." Thranduil is most definitely underused in fanfic, and when he is it's not typically very nicely. This was terrific to see! |
Aislyn Crowdaughter 2003-05-31 . chapter 1 Hi, Avon! This is great. Thranduil is a much undeused character (well, as a in character acting canon character, he is sadly underused, IMHO), and this little vignette gives a great insight in his thought, especilally as he and his elves are practically at war with Dol Guldur during the whole Third Age, too. It is a great short piece, and I like it a lot. I especialy liked the part about the returning elves answering the question of the trees: "Where are the others? -- There *are* no others."
This is a great short story. thank you!
