crazilyawesome 2009-09-26 . chapter 19Your story was riveting, intriguing, interesting, original and just lovely. I couldn't stop reading from start to finish. For this, I blame you for my currently only too conspicuous eye bags xD. Thanks for writing such a great story :) |
Pocketpatch 2009-07-26 . chapter 1Amazing story, I think I've read it at least ten times since I found it a few years ago. Has to be one of my top favorite stories of fanfiction and non-fanfiction alike. |
Calks89 2009-05-11 . chapter 19I don't ever remember getting as frustrated with a character as I did thanks to Wild Flower. I really wanted to throttle Tory. I'm afraid I have a real issue when it comes to certain people believing they have certain 'ownership' of another and in this fanfic Tory's protective older brother routine crossed over into possessive. I hated that he was so controlling of Sakura and I'm ashamed to admit that I was really looking forward to reading his torture scenes. But I think that's something that also made this fanfic so fun to read. Some fanfics (and even some published novels) don't provoke any kind of emotional response and are subsequently boring to read, and who wants to read something that doesn't get you riled up? Haha!
The way Sakura stared at Syaoran at the beginning reminded me of the Wicked Witch of the Waste from Howl's Moving Castle, which presented a rather odd mental image. I loved the fact that you gave her more depth then the other characters (except Syaoran) were aware of. The scene where she stroked Syaoran's leg under the table made me laugh out loud which in turn led to me receiving some odd looks from my colleagues. It's a shame there weren't more moments like that. And Syaoran really needs to get some backbone when standing up to Tory! He always seems to cower away. It's like, hello!! You've got a sword, magic and amazing fighting skills, why are you running?
All in all I'd say this fanfic was another success. Besides, I read it from start to finish so that in itself is a compliment lol |
cherrixwolf 2009-03-20 . chapter 19 I'm reviewing again, except not logging in because I'm pretty sure I left you one the first time around haha
Just wow. I actually finished marathoning all of Firefly and Serenity but I personally felt that Serenity... lacked a bit. I mean obviously Joss was planning for so much more and he only got 2 hours to do with what he wished but it wasn't enough. And the gluttonous hedonist I am, I needed something to fix that.
Then I remembered reading Wild Flower and this has most certainly been an amazing adventure, especially the second time around. More than anything, the plot line you created for the CCS cast in this futuristic Joss-inspired world was simply phenomenal. I still can't believe you were "winging it". It just boggles my mind to believe it! There are obvious parallels between Firefly and Wild Flower but your plot and the characters you used made Wild Flower your own beautiful (stick a whole lot of other really pretty adjectives, and the commas in between, that brings the thought 'praise-worthy' in here) story.
So once again, thank you so much for spending time to think, write and share this story :D It is most certainly appreciated.

Revel in the Night 2009-02-28 . chapter 19Amazing plot! Definitely one of the most original I have ever read! I wish there were more romantic and cute moments between Sakura and Syaoran but, the action scenes made up for what I thought was missing - they were amazing! I don't read too many stories related to politics but, you really opened my mind to them. Great Job!

Minute-Maid511 2009-01-12 . chapter 1Amazing writing. It's taken me a year or so to get around to it, but I intend to finish reading it. |
Arya Tai 2008-11-29 . chapter 19I have to say - your story was, at worst, captivating, and at best, inspiring in the true spirit of Whedon's Firefly/Serenity. It was a brilliant tale, both in structure, literary talent, and in the questions it raises about humanity as a whole.
How do you connect the lines, in a world like ours? How do you draw the pattern to see the truth? As we grow more and more advanced, and supposedly more and more civilized, we are losing sight of the sky. The Internet and the media supplies us with more information than we would ever need - how are we to ever distill what should be from what is? As our machines fog our skies and cover our stars, we do nothing, and continue to plod along, thinking that we are evolving, thinking that with every passing day, every passing week, we are getting better. We are not. With so much technology, why is all this money going towards guns and ammunition? Why isn't it going to food, clothes, shelter - to the people who need it? The government has power, because we gave the government power. It has power. We know it had power. It does not need to brandish said power in useless displays of bloodshed. We've already had more than enough of those.
Sorry, went off on a little rant there...
Uh, yeah. Anyways, I squealed inside every time I spied a Whedon reference and I adored pretty much every part of this fic. Seriously - you're amazing.

Arya Tai 2008-11-29 . chapter 1I knew it! I started reading about the ship, and then about Sakura and I was like - "FIREFLY". |
Mrs. Radcliffe 13 2008-09-09 . chapter 19"You took my shirt! She made this for me, it’s my shirt. Mine. You got that?” Lol. I about died laughing at this line and when he was saying how the gov. was stealing his shirt too. Genius! |

u dunno how big my smiile was like
i was like kawaii kawaii!! |
MikoKagome1113 2008-07-17 . chapter 19Wow, that ending was absolutely beautiful! I would have liked Shaoran to be standing next to Sakura when they came out of the ship, but I understand your point to put Touya their instead. Like a small picture for their father, so all your reviewers know that he knows both of them are safe. I feel better stating that type of closure in words, actually.
I must say, that was a rather long 'celebration' you posted at the end. Almost like it went from 'New years eve clanking wine glasses celebration' to 'must talk about heated arguments relevant to the governments'. Lol, I was quite surprised to see a lot of the information and views you posted up here. Im not saying that I disagree with much of it, but I will say that I don't exactly know why you put it up here other then to explain the political theme of your story. I do think it was a bit much, and I dont think putting it up here on a fanfiction site was wise. You may not know it, but something like that could influence someone as young as I am, maybe even younger. Lol, but it was interesting to read some of your thoughts. You are a very opinionated person, and I highly respect that.
Thank you for the wonderful story! I apologize for yelling at you earlier for little tidbits in your story. I do that all the time, but I am truly sorry!

MikoKagome1113 2008-07-17 . chapter 18That was a beautiful ending. Remarkable! I suppose now the epilogue will show some scenes with Fujitaka? You dont seem like the type of Author to let loopholes like that slip away.
