It's interesting. Neo gave Smith a new purpose when he 'killed' Smith. It being, of course, killing Neo. But now their fates are bound. You showed that very well in this story.

My only suggestion is that maybe you could have put in some description of what Neo's idea of "dying" felt like, so one could compare it with the feeling of Smith inside him.

It seems that Neo/Smith slash is spreading nearly as fast as Smith is copying himself. And that's a good thing!
Your story is very interesting -- I don't think anyone has yet tried to get into Neo's mind at this particular moment. i especially liked this comparison: "It was warm. It rippled through him like hot blood, like liquid light. It was like dying."

OOh, a very nice analysis of a quick snapshot moment. It's a really clever thing to develop: the draining of oneself. I'm sure anyone would reflect upon that for a long time afterwards. Very cool!
