You're capturing Kerry perfectly. I feel like I'm reading a sequel to the original book. Plus more murder attempts involving Kerry and her family play perfectly into he theme of the original. That line about Suzanna not being his daughter but his creation and his reaction has always bugged me too. Lol. I figured Mrs. Clark didn't meant it to be taken so literally when she wrote it but it is a fun idea to explore.

Please continue! I'm an avid Maruy Higgins Clark fan, and I love stories aboutt her books, so I want you to continue!

Wow, very inspiring. I see you haven't updated in forever, but I still think you might be able to get back in the rutene of writing this. It is very good, but just a little confusing, consider making it eadier to follow, don't have AS many jumps.

I love the story if just for the names. My mother is Stevens, my grandmother is Smith, and I'm Kerry Reardon. Too weird.

I can't recall ever reading 'Suzanne's' mother's name in LMCYS. The only mention I can find that Dr. Smith himself makes of his ex-wife is this (to Kerry) on pg 104. of the paperback edition:

"Because unlike her mother, my former wife, Suzanne had a very deep commitment to her marriage," No name, just 'my former wife'.

And incidentally, Suzanne's stepfather's name in Oakland, California is Wayne Stevens.
