When i read the first part, "Honestly Okay" i felt so bad for Misty and now i just want her out of that hospital! But i'm glad she and Ash will be together--eventually. :) AAML will always be my #1 fave Poke-couple! :) :) This was an absolute perfect fic. Very angsty, but realistic and well-written. I'm still trying to stop the tears from coming. wipes eyes Sorry, i'm very emotional today! xD This is SO going on my faves! You did an outstanding job! :) And sorry this is kinda late too. xP

But you, Rae...you always manage to keep it just on the edge of heartbreaking while offering the characters hope. (Consider this a collective review of 'Honestly Okay', 'Smile', and 'In the Middle of the Night', all beautifully-written fics which actually drove me to tears). I'm not sure if I should exactly confess to my 'professional' opinion here, but as someone who spent two weeks in a mental facility...oh, three years ago now, the depression and hopelessness one finds in the ward are very well-represented. shudders at the memory I could relate a little too well with Misty here... You are an exceptionally talented writer, and I'd love to see more from you. --Anysia

I've enjoyed them deeply, you've really got some fabulous writing talent. In this story in particular, you've really given depth and flavour to Misty's character, describing with great style and accuracy her mindscape and mentality. And that has been combined with some excellent descriptive pieces and layered dialogue. To be honest, your writing style is very like mine, and that's one reason I love it so much. First person perspective, when no detail is too small to ignore, no words are meaningless. It's probably a lot better than my writing, to be honest ^_^;; I'll make an effort to try and review more of your storis, since they're definitely worth the time and the praise! Looking forward to more in the future, Dan.

The emotions, your writing style, the plotting and the ending were so realistic and certainly perfect. I'm glad you went with your decision of them not starting a relationship. I mean at first i was a little saddened that Misty had ended up there and then after her friend killed herself i was just like o god i hope Misty doesn't get any ideas from that. I'm happy though that Ash's with her and i understand why Misty didn't rush into a relationship yet. In order to love others you have to love yourself. In other words good fanfic. ^_^
