| Yami Vizzini 2008-01-12 ch 9, | abuseI've been reading through these stories without bothering to review and am just up to the final book. Once again, I am impressed by the detail put into this series. This installment was an epic quest, and I can't help but love those a'ladon- I couldn't believe it when T'Kai died! The only thing that bugged me was the apparent Davis-bashing throughout most of the story- but what the heck, he wasn't all that different from the show, and this experience did help him improve. |
| Artemis of the Ice 2004-02-16 ch 9, | abuseTHANK YOU thank you thank you thank you so much for posting his stories! kale's stories were by far some of the few that satisfy my standards as a reader and author- I had them saved to my computer. BUt a virus wiped them out and I panicked, because kale had removed his stories! But you've saved me, more so now than ever now that the 01 and 02 characters are long gone...*GLOMP* Artemis |
2004-01-25 ch 9, anon. | abuseThis ROCKS! |
| Martian 2003-11-18 ch 9, anon. | abuseBrilliant!! Emotional!! Well done all the way through and so wonderfully in character!! |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 6, | abuseIf I recall, they came much closer to 'doing it' in the original version of the story. Some think that Kari is written as too 'slutty' in this and one other chapter. I disagree. I think that a lot of teens, in their haste to show affection to their boyfriend/girlfriend would be just as anxious or tempted. Not that Kari is any less of a character, but T.K. is more. And provides more great interaction with the angelic crests. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 5, | abuseReal turning point for Davis, and one that makes me wonder if all the Davis people in the world aren't just prejudiced against Takari. Honestly, after this chapter you just have to feel sorry for him. And I love T'Kai and Kiara's use of the Holy Symphony technique together. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 4, | abuseAnother very creative moment. Cheyne. Nobody had any idea where kale was going with this until the end of the book. Again, I think in the commentary/interview that I read that even kale himself didn't exactly know. That's what was, and still is incredible about him and his writing. To be able to create on the fly and have it blend in to the rest of the story so seamlessly. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 3, | abuseAs much as the pro-Davis people hated this book, I liked it for his character. Some thought he was portrayed as a coward here, when he'd fought the digimon in the actual series with bravery. But I think he's scared here because he's moment away from being eaten, and knows that he can't do anything about it. Not a coward, but helpless, and that would make anyone nervous. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 2, | abuseT.K.'s relationship with T'Kai raises same gender, non-romantic, non-familial relationsips to a whole new level. The interaction between the two is so, so deep all the way through the story, and I just adore it. Almost as much as the Takari or the Matt-T.K. relationship. Almost more than Takari, this is a friendship/buddy book, and it really needs to be read to be appreciated. A lot of writers everywhere could learn fromt his. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 1, | abuseClassic, classic story. Even most who aren't familiar with all of kale's works know this one. I remember that it almost started a war between the Davis and T.K. factions, or certainly stoked the fires that were already burning between the two. I read a review of this fic on a pro_davis website that was horrified at it, and three reviews on pro-takari sites that praised it as gospel. I think the three were much closer to the mark. |
| Kari Kamiya Takaishi 2003-10-31 ch 1, | abuseEowyn, I have never really got the chance to thank you and I did not know really if I should e-mail you a thank you for your reviews that you have given me or just post a review; in which you can see, I have choosen the review. I am Hikari Takaishi if you wish to know that part ^.^ (I guess that helps a bit). I figured that since I have read Kale's work before when he was an author on here... I would review also since I was not an everyday writer nor did I ever thought about being a writer, until now; since my friends are all erging me to become an author. Eowyn, you have inspired the whole Takari population once again. You brought back the gone that never grows old. It's only those like Kale that can write stories so emotional and wonderful and beautiful all in one. He's popular, always has been and always will be. He'll never die out on this website as long as you keep his work up. I have read a few of your reviews that you have given people. If you wish to write your own story, then I urge you too. You'll learn from your mistakes as I will as time goes on as I become an author myself. Well must I say for the takari fan's out there... post another story up of Kale's. And again thank you so kindly for you wonderful reviews! The once~Hikari Takaishi2 |
