ohmygod! I loved-loved your story 'past is past', I thought it wasn't gonna be that good but I decided to read it anyway b/c I haven't seen that much bryxlei ff's out there, u know. I read it til the end and... wow, it was... hawt XD I was going to ask you about why u didn't include Bryan's end of the story but then I realized: it took place after T3, during T4, right? And THEN it leads up to 5 right, lol, damn, ur story makes so much sense! I hope u make another ff of bryan and lei together, soo good :))

Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Bryan and Lei were both in-character perfectly. And what a ride. I'm also glad that Zhang turned into a good guy by the end, finally settling his peace with Lei after Lei saved his life.

Again, simply brilliant. Please write more BryanxLei.

Ooh, old story... It took me almost two hours to read this all the way through, and I don't regret starting it. This was great, you really captured the characters. The only thing that bothered me is that Yoshimitsu was too... I don't know, not so... formal. I hope you know what I mean. Otherwise, this was just great. I'll check for more of your work. :)

Ok, that part where Bryan shields Lei? Damned cute. Even if the word "cute" should come nowhere near this pairing, what with all the angst that follows it. I just don't know what else to call it. Lei's talk about destiny sounds a bit cliche, but then again, I'm willing to accept it as Lei speaking (which I think would probably be IC), rather than Lei voicing the author.

Also, the ending is very beautiful.

Having followed this story for some time now, it's difficult for me to accept that it's finally come to an end; I'll miss reading the twists and turns with which you graced every update. Nevertheless, well done for finishing your first epic.

I'm impressed with how you chose to conclude 'The Past is the Past', mixing satisfactory resolutions with teasing 'what ifs'. The situation at the Zaibatsu was neatly rounded off, with Boskonovich being rescued, and Lei having resolved the majority of the questions that had plagued him earlier in the story. However, you also allowed room for interpretation with respect to the fate of the Mishimas and whether or not Bryan managed to capture and kill Dr. Abel, the latter of which was cleverly kept mysterious by the understandable nausea that prevented Lei from pursuing either.

Perhaps I might be fortunate enough to see a sequel following the release of Tekken 5?
