And I loved how he left without saying goodbye, but the team went to his house to say goodbye anyway. "The Scientist" works quite well for this fic, especially "Nobody said it was easy/No-one ever said it would be this hard" . . . And your ending bit was lovely, "They weaved through the crowd, just two more people in another Vegas performance. It took him exactly nine steps before he wordlessly reached out and took her hand in his." :) |
