First, before I give my review:
LaDeDa. You need a life. If you don't like the fanfic, it is polite to give constructive criticism for the author because, quite frankly, they cannot be held accountable for the fact that you do not particularly enjoy the story. Second, in the 90's, video game charachters may not have said "I think -this- was written wth you in mind." , but however big of a nerd you are, you have not played EVERY GAME that came out in that time peiod, so you have no room to talk. Lots of new things are discovered when you try different ways of writing, so don't bash people. But you know what? I'll bet that's just what you're doing, or else you would have an account, so that the author could write you back, but you are taking the cowards way instead. So just back down, and let those who 'get it' read our fanfic in peace. Oh, and guess what? I'm twelve.
On a happier note, I really haven't read anything like this, and I thought it was very interesting. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work.

Perhaps I'm just ignorant of all your vaunted literary references and intelligent metaphor, but this seems like you're just working in the medium of pretentiousness. And non sequiturs. Those abound. I can't seem to find any logic in it.
I really want to suspect this is some sort of mole hunt to sniff out poseurs. Which, in all honesty, would be pretty funny.

But if it's written in earnest, I'm not sure what to say. First, if you want to write like this, why don't you just go write an original work of fiction instead of writing "fanfic" about two characters from a video game from the 90s or whenever the heck it was? The little characterization you actually get from these two in the game are nowhere near this, of course, because what video game from the 90s would actually have characters saying things like: "I may have great cause to believe that [insert obscure poem here] was written with a girl like you in mind"? Maybe I've just stumbled into some odd little niche of the internet where things like this are the height of fashion, but I simply don't get it.

What surprises me most is that it's so popular. I mean, I'm a nerd, but the obscureness of my nerdiness is nowhere near yours, and I still have trouble finding people I relate to. But there's so freakin' many of you who apparently "get" this. It just amazes me.

brilliant. every scene, every line reeks of a hundred other meanings unsaid. from yuffie's pre-natal depression to reno being more heartless than i have seen in most fanfiction, this story is gold. i especially admire how you portrayed this serious, slightly mental side to yuffie. very well done, scarr.

So strangely good. Very odd technique. I like it, I feel like I'm swimming in modern disillusion, and don't want to surface.

Well done.

i chanced upon you via reno fucking spiegel's c2 community. and you are my god.

read a couple of your fics and i am amazed. makes me want to go wipe out the history of all my writings and hide under a rock somewhere.

the poetic-ness, the literary perfection, the contrast of fluid sentences and metaphors contrasted with deep bouts of feeling, of emotion, of pain and anguish.

i feel like an ant under your boot.

bittersweet yet sad. i think i'm going to cry now

Pyro_Kinn, *you* should not only stuff it but shove your head up a donkey's anus as well. Firstly, I am not seeing why "it's not working out." Simply because you wish to disregard the blatant talent Scarr possesses does not mean that the story sucks.

Secondly, if Reno/Yuffie is wrong, then by god Vincent/Yuffie is plain wretched.

Thirdly, I'm in a fucking bad mood and pissing me off right now is literally sending yourself to the noose. Yes, I'm violent, arrogant and prideful. Now go tell someone who cares.

Anyways, Scarr, cheers to you. (And while we are at it, how about an additional cling-clang of the goblet in memory of the late Mushroom?)

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. I loved it.

And to the flamer below, I got one thing to say to you.

HA HA HA! You dumbtard, if you don't like Reffie and you accidentally stumbled on this, you see the button on the upper left corner? Yes, that one! Press it and the fic will disappear! Wow, amazing!

You fucktard, sink back into that pool of sludge you came out of. And don't go insulting other people. If they like Reffie, tough. You may not like it, fine. Just don't tell other people to shove it, dickcheese. Leave them out of it. You're the one with the problem, not them.

Anyway, Scarr, sorry about the long message to that loser there. Some people never learn.

You, on the other hand, write beautifully. This story was well-written. Keep it up.

This story sucks. I don't see what's all the fuss about it. Sex is a gimmck, and Reno/Yuffie is just WRONG. Even vincent is better paired up with her. i'm so unclear as what's going on? tyou mean they were married? you "reffie" folk should just stuff it because it's NOT WORKING OUT.

Amazing story. I'm totally blown away by the cool tone, the symbolism, the subtle sadness that envelopes it all.

LAST FFVII FIC?! NO! IT CAN'T BE!

*calms down*

Oh Scarr, sorry about that. The story was brilliant as always and angsty too. Oh, where will I go now for good Reffies? Anyway, it was wonderful and I'm sorry I didn't get to this sooner. I hope you do keep writing even if it isn't Reffies. Keep it up.

Ah, a brilliant piece yet again. The ending was so surprisingly sad, coupled with masterful play of emotions between Reno and Yuffie. I'm very impressed. Your style is unique but well presented. I'm neutral to the couple but this one really took it out in a new, realistically bitter light.

So utterly and completely depressing, and not in the typical 'aw thats sad, why did he die, why did she give him that STD?' kind of way. Just saddening in the knowledge that no effort of my own, past, present, or immeadiate future, even compares. Brilliance.
