Just a note: yes, sublimation is a chemical process, but it also refers to the changing of an "undesirable" instinct into a more socially-acceptable one. I thought it fit perfectly.

Okay... Um... it's a nice poem... but the proccess of sublimation is that of transforming a solid to a gas without going through a liquid state. You might wanna try another word.
