Fantastic! :D loved it. Almost real the way not succumbing to veritaserum was so gruesome and the way severus put up with hermione with a growing fondness. A bit hard to follow at times but beautiful. :)

Hmf. Is it possible to transfer Harry's knowledge of Parseltongue to Hermione? It doesn't rely on human tongue to be spoken, I hope. Nevertheless, non-verbal magic is possible. Conversations can be carried out through writing (remember Tom's anagram in the Chamber of Secrets?). Probably, a magical device, similar to Dicta-Quill, could pronounce Hermione's 'thoughts' aloud, but it would require concentration on separating thoughts to be spoken, and thoughts to stay private.
