lamentations 2004-02-09 . chapter 2This is AWESOME. It is written beautifully, and expresses just how I feel. I think what they did to Snape was AWFUL and I'm glad you wrote about it. |
CrysMaul 2004-01-18 . chapter 2You know how much I like James, Sirius, and Lupin. But I must agree with you that what they did wasn't nice at all. Good punch, BTW. Nice exit. |
That Aerin 2003-12-22 . chapter 1I would like to commend you on your respect and maturity for standing behind your opinions and accepting flames graciously. I read your profile and what you have written; I admire you for your steadfastness and loyal support; and your logic. "Many of you will not like what is said, but please keep in mind that all of her essays are written well, and try to look past any disagreements you have. After all, there are many people out there whose views I do not support, but a well-written argument makes me stop and think." And I think it's brilliant and brave that you offer your contact information and offer people to share their views.
And that is really spiffy, doncha think? I concur with what was said; and the fact is that "Winning an argument is a far cry from changing a mind."
As for the review of this piece- I would say I could have felt the same; but feelings aside; fanfiction is a brilliant way to vent off emotion. |
the-evil-elf 2003-12-16 . chapter 2 hey, cant be botherd to sign in, but thought id review neway
luved that
i got really ** about snapes memory. im not that much of a hp fan, but i think snape is, and sirius was, the most amazing characters. i got so ** about what black and potter did to snape, your chapter portrayed just how i felt too, although i was more angry with james potter. dunno why. i have a soft spot for sirius i guess. it was so sad...

Anifan1 2003-10-12 . chapter 2I approve! Add more soon. (Although chapter 1 was kind of redundant) |
Serena Coyote 2003-08-17 . chapter 2Ah, you wrote what I believe hundreds of HP fans are feeling. Snape is one of my favorite characters because I love to hate him!! Padfoot and Prongs definately lost some brownie points with me after that embarrassing stunt! But it wasn't the first time they had attacked him, was it? All I can say is this: James, thankfully, grew out of that. Sirius held on to it, which was very childish on his part. And the same for Snape too. He vents his continuing hatred to that group on Harry!
Anyway, I like the way you wrote this. I needed to vent more when I read Padfoot's downfall. I'm still angry at JK for killing the coolest godfather anyone could ever ask for. But his death will not be in vain, atleast now Harry has the will to kill Voldemort!!

Muldrake 2003-08-11 . chapter 2 Yes! I was hoping you'd go farther with this, but the sentiment is good. I don't even like Snape, but I have deep rage over what James and Sirius did to him. |
Keyla 2003-07-01 . chapter 2 I must agree with your sentments wholeheartedly. James' and Sirius' behavior was inexcusable, although I doubt they realized just how cruel they were being. And I shall miss Padfoot greatly. Wah! I could go on ranting for ages about OOtP, but you can just talk to me directly, so what's the point? |
Brittany 2003-06-28 . chapter 2 Well. . . not quite sure what your purpose was in writing this. I'm a rabid Snape fan as well, but at least I had the sense to put things in perspective. What James and Co. did was horrible and cruel and plain wrong. . . but let's be honest-- as J.K. Rowling said: "I wouldn't feel TOO sorry for Snape." |
, 2003-06-23 . chapter 1 Liked this addition to the pensieve scene.
But, S P O I L E R S
Hated HP5 - OOp.
A story with too many plots going nowhere slowly.
An unbelievable Albus - ?50 to ?100 years teaching teens and he still doesn't understand them? Get real.
Good charaters turned into cardboard dolls and new dolls dumped in with little to add to the brew?
Only the mad Dada/inquisitor is worth a look in. I've worked with folks like her when teaching.
Oh yeah, I liked the mad elf/mad house.
And Sirius the boy who remained a boy even as his body grew up deserved to go to the great sky kennel.
The rest, bah humbug.
I've read better fan fic.
Weeping, I will re read the first 4 books and hope JKR can write a 6th worthy of the first 4. |
 mugglelady3000 2003-06-23 . chapter 2Thank you for that! I feel much better now. |
cloudshape 2003-06-23 . chapter 2 I just have to comment, because the scene in the OOP has stirred a lot of emotions in me too.
First of all, I wasn't really surprised about the cruelty of James and Sirius. After the "prank" where Sirius lured Snape into the Shrieking Shack, where Snape almost got killed, it just seemed there would be more to come. To see Harry's reaction was gratifying. That he felt sorry for Snape and ashamed of his father and Sirius was wonderful and - for me - was like Christmas come early. But why didn't Harry go back to Snape later and apologize? He did break into his private memories after all and thus humiliated Snape in the worst possible way.
What horrified me most of all, was the last scene with Snape in the book. Where Harry hates Snape and thinks that he will never forgive him. What the hell does he need to forgive him for? Snape did check if Sirius was in danger (as Dumbledore pointed out to Harry) and he did try to find/save Harry when he was presumely in the Forbidden Forest. He had slipped Prof. Umbridge fake Veritaserum and he had given Harry Occlumenci lessons, which - if Harry had taken them seriously - could have saved Sirius life. So it was partly Harry's fault by not taking those lessons serious and to an even greater extend Dumbledore's fault by not giving Harry crucial information. But it was in no way Snape's fault.
That Harry obviously doesn't see it that way is extremly upsetting to me. And to come back to your story - I completly understand how you feel. I myself wish I could go there and protect poor Severus. |
