There seems to be a running theme in your stories: though I've only read 3 of them, in all of them, Angel somehow is or becomes the victim, the one needing to be saved. Not many people write Angel FFs like this, let alone as well as you do and that's also why I like reading your work. You're really good and I hope you keep writing.

I am one of those sickos that finds it hot when Angel is hurt, so obviously I had a feild day with this. I was very sad when it ended. Maybe someday you'll come back with another story... -DIM
Rachelus 2004-10-06 ch 1, anon.	abuseYikes! This story is amazing! It reads like an ep, complete with Joss-like humor and references to great literature ("King Lear", anyone?). Plus, this author nailed every character, from Angel to Dennis to Holland Manners. Of course, it appears this was written pre-season-two, so Gunn is not quite who we know him to be now, but still he rings true with Season One Gunn. I've read a fair bit of "Angel" and "Buffy" fanfic, and even some of the 'official' books, and I have to say that this is the best piece I've ever read. Way better than some of the 'official' books (one of which had Angel saying a line like: "Oh look, it's like an itty-bitty tunnel." Puhlease!). Kudos to the author for such a fantastic and original plot as well. And I'd just like to mention that the Britishisms some people mentioned in their reviews didn't bug me until I'd read their reviews. So don't wig!

Leanne8582 2004-04-02 ch 1,	abuseThis story is amazing in so many ways that it would be impossible to name them all, so I'm just gonna name a few. ;) Your characterization was spot aon all they way. Wesley, Cordelia, Angel, Gunn, Lindsay, Kate, you nailed them all. The thing that makes that so fabulous is that most authors have a problem character. One they just get stuck on. But everyone in your story just acted so perfectly like themselves it ws amazing. And they interacted really well with eachother. And the idea for this fic was truly original. The plot was so engrossing and suspenseful. Honestly I think this fic is better than some of the Buffy/Angel Pro-fic out there.

Love the title, love the dialouge, love the plot, love everything really. I also noticed the Britishisms, but they didn't really bother me too much. The characters were blessedly in character, the plot was well thought out, the dialouge stayed true to form, I'm babbling and starting to make no sense,but I just wanted you to know how deeply this tale hit. It truly is a tale, too. Calling it a story just seems inadiquate...all of my comments seem inadiquate,but I'm trying at least. Also, LOVED the La Boheme reference. This piece was exquisitely done and I pray that you keep up the utterly AMAZING work. Joss Whedon move over, Rheanna is the Queen of Captivating Plots. LOL ~Namida-chan

The humorous, clever dialogue in the first segments drew me in, and the geniunely intriguing mystery of the 'vampire disease' kept me reading to the end. I also liked the fact that this story, like so many episodes of the series, ends on both a happy and a sinister note. My eye occasionally snagged on Briticisms uttered by the American characters, but this is an extremely minor point; I'm sure I commit similar linguistic sins when I (an American) write dialogue for Giles or Spike. Overall, an excellent piece that is well worth any ANGEL fan's time.
Calabar 2001-04-29 ch 1,	abuseI'm really glad someone posted a link to this story on a board I read (same place meara found it). Wonderful "episode". My only quibble is that the author uses Britishisms (Australianisms?) in the dialogue that few Americans would use. For example, after Gunn slays a vampire, he tells Cloud that "It's sorted", and Angel describes someone as working in "motor insurance". Whenever I noticed non-American word choice and spelling, it kind of pulled me out of the story and reminded me that this wasn't a real episode. However, those little details didn't dampen my pleasure in this well-written and plotted tale. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and will check out more of Rheanna's work.
