I started reading this about four or five days ago, and I'm hooked on it. I hardly haven't stopped reading, and I even gave up sleep for school to read instead. This is really an amazing fanfiction, one of the best I've ever read, and I really hope you keep up the great work. I love how you describe everything and everyone in complete detail, so I can visualize the entire scene in my head. I love it and you've even inspired me to start writing again, and now I've been writing the best stuff I've ever written. I can't wait to see more of your work. I hope you are still even working on it! Though I understand how busy one can become, especially in college, as I think you said before? Either way, please keep up the awesome work! Your fanfiction truly is something I have been looking forward to every morning, and I really hope I can see more! :)
I have fallen in love with your stories, there so well written and fill me with so much emotions! This is the first story I'm reading from you, but I'm poking around your other stories and I have fallen HARD for them.
I love RikuXSora, and it makes me giggle and smile at how you protray it so well in this story and is what made me love it. Seems it been a coupld of months since the last post, please don't let it mean you stopped. I just want to keep reading more and more of all your stories. This one in particular. x3
I love it. Your writing style is awesome. And the characters are hilarious. After Riku and Sora, Irvine and Selphie are my fav couple. Plus I liked the little Irvine/Tidus you threw in there. It was cute. And good job making the fight scenes. Not many people can pull it off, but you did it wonderfully! I swear, I caught myself yelling at the computer from time to time. But no I'm waiting patiently for the next chapter. God, I hope Riku and Sora have a good time in Atropos.
Hehe, looks like you had quite the fun writing this chapter. I don't think you should fret too much about medical terminology, especially since the intentionality of the ends don't really NECESSITATE medical expertise anyway. ;) The chapter, while more of a cute filler chapter with a slight share of cliches-not a bad thing, moderation is key, and you were able to keep yourself from becoming too self-indulgent, i.e. spending 3 paragraphs describing what Sora tried on, etc.-I was definitely able to feel the atmosphere switch from lil' old small-town destiny islands to the more ritzy, entrepreneurial setting of Atropos. Though we were able to see Riku in more of his home environment, I think that it would've been charming to see more of a familiarized, acquainted Riku rather than simply rich-kid-in-big-city sort of deal, but I'm nitpicking here. This chapter, as you mentioned, was meant to deal with the growing dynamic between the two boys, and I think your sparse use of the word love, unlike in my previous review (haha) is quite endearing and its effect hits home, hinting the steady growth in their affection for each other. The pseudo-lemon was perfect, more of a discovery for Sora's kinkier side and first-time anxious experience and affirmation as more of a "helping Riku" thing than a passionate romp (a cliche many authors fall for), not to mention really adorable. Again, although this was one of the lighter chapters, poking around at Sora's afuckingdorability and Riku's sexy celebrity antics, I think that its suitable preparation for, what I guess, is the heavy content to come.
I neglected to write a review for chapter 18 mainly because I was in such a rush of anxiety and anger that I went onto chapter 19. These two chapters really elicited a reaction akin to me listening to Rush Limbaugh's homophobic rhetoric and his listeners cheering him on. This is a perfect example of the realities that face people in Riku and Sora's situation today, and in no way a hyperbole at all. It really shows the maturity of your storytelling; It was enough to elicit my hatred for people: lack of conscience as well insecurity, a short-sightedness lacking respect for the fellow being that makes me as livid as Riku. I'm glad, however, that Sora was able to fight for himself. Cloud put it perfectly. Though the previous chapters lent a lull and a fluffy contentedness with the world, these two were ensuing chaos that truly got my blood rushing.
Just for the record, I LOVE Sora-centric perspectives, I just never ever tire of the little kid. The premise of this chapter-inviting everyone to the beach before the proverbial end-from Sora's newfound disposition as a full-fledged boyfriend ready to take whatever there was on really helped as a sort of motivator. This chapter was delightfully light and sweet, and rightfully so, as a calm before the storm before the story becomes heavy again. I like how the context was cleared so that none of the immediate fears or anxieties of the characters were clear, but we're still able to tease out the fragility of some of the characters, the weaker links that will no doubt come into play later, and all this amounting from a simple run-around invitation to the beach. Character relationships are transformed and reawoken in this way, but in the end, it's marked the beginning of a new life for Riku and Sora, illustrated by the intimate hug and kiss scenes-that you are awesome at synthesizing-from last chapter til now, showing off the dynamic (i love that word too much) that these two are capable of. and I'm excited for the future, for not just how these new dispositions will work out, but if and how the past will affect the path of these evolved characters; they are going back to Atropos, after all.
