Ecat 2009-05-27 . chapter 1 Oh, my, God... that was really amazing. I am not usually the slash reader(no offense), but that was so deep. The ending really gets too me, as its supposed i guess. Wow, i didnt think anyone could actually write a "morning after" piece and still have it be meaningful instead of really awkward. I absolutely loved it |
Star18 2008-12-07 . chapter 1Whoa. I NEVER (and I mean never EVER) would have thought to do a Javert/Cosette pairing. But I've gotta say you pulled it off very well. Great job:) |
ForestFire77 2008-11-13 . chapter 1First of all, you have NO IDEA how amazed I was to find a Javert/Cosette fic. I literally thought I was the only person who even thought of that pairing at all.
But not only did you write a pairing that I love, you wrote a SPECTACULAR story. The detail and mood are exquisite and I love the way that you use this situation to add depth and explore new perspectives of both these characters. Excellent job and I hope to see more Cosette/Javert fanfiction from you. |
scopsophile 2008-01-22 . chapter 1I hardly ever review fanfiction, but I feel compelled to comment on this because 1. I love (AU) Cosette/Javert and there simply isn't enough of it, and 2. this is probably the best sex scene I have ever read in any fanfic.
Note: you might want to fix the grammar and punctuation goofs. |
LesMisLoony 2007-10-03 . chapter 1Yes, this is beautiful. I bristled at the mention of the movie, but all was forgotten within moments. Such a wonderful pairing!
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to argue with the flamer who will probably never see this, but here goes.
Not only were your suggestions ludicrous, but you seem a little uninformed on the Bible. That's one of the dirtiest books I've ever read, and I say this completely secure in my Christianity. "Let us lie with our father," anyone? |
Bubblefang 2007-05-02 . chapter 1This was a beautiful story. It's embarrassing at points, and so painful at others, and really gives the image of the 'fallen woman'. I was really in Cosette's head when you were writing this, and it hurt so much I could hardly read it. I never really thought so much of prostitution and this hit hard - it really is just horrible, isn't it? And halfway through when I realized it was the Inspector... that really, really hurt. In a good way, y'know, but it made me want to cry. The real clincher was when Cosette had to take the dominating position rather than Javert. If Javert had taken the lead one could have convined oneself it was rape, but this willing, full, entirely-of-her-own-volition prostitution is just awful. And there's no lust, really, no hunger, it's all business.
I think what really makes this is the 'business' feel of it, and the coldness of it. Very, very good.
You understand that everything I'm saying her is meant in a good way. It's an awful subject, and beautiful writing, which makes your horrible subject... divine, for lack of a word.
You ought to have had 'miserable' somewhere in the title.
My only nitpick is this line: "But the Inspector was an evil cruel man that liked to hurt people and make them suffer." It sounds so childish it made me wince. Perhaps some description of 'ruthless justice' would have been better. I know Javert could be described as ruthless or even merciless, but I don't understand how 'evil and cruel' could fit into him. The book never describes him as such.
I think this is coming to be one of my favorite fics. I always return here. Thank you for giving such a good fic to our fandom! :) |
NarcissaVenus 2007-04-15 . chapter 1Dude, that was frickin' hot. I love it. |
 mrssmeagol 2007-03-07 . chapter 1*blinks*
Now, this was... wow. One of the absolutely best Les Miz fics I've read - if not the best. Wonderful, wonderful job. |
Je_ suis_Gavroche :) 2006-09-26 . chapter 1 WOW! That was SO amzing! I loved it SO mucho!! Very well written! I love how the frech just flowed in and out of it! I hate reading stories where there is no relation to the time period or the culture...oh well! This was wonderful! |
ponine-cosette 2006-07-26 . chapter 1I. Loved. This. Story. This was so good, and, strangely enough, i cried. it was beautiful and i was so unprepared for that ending! SO GOOD! Definetly going on my favorites list. |
 Blonde Shadowcat 2006-03-26 . chapter 1This...is...absolutely...beautiful!
I, for one, was absolutely SHOCKED (and surprisingly pleased) when I found out that the man was Javert. I just love his character, so seeing those two end up together seems so absently wonderful. A nice change of a pairing, I think, too.
Not to mention how beautufully you've written it! I love reading stories that are as well-written as yours, it's just so enjoyable! I loved the storyline you made with it, also. It flowed very evenly, and it was a perfectly sized (and written) one-shot.
Very good job on this, (definately going to my favorites list...). Keep writing!! |
sweet thyme 2006-03-05 . chapter 1This is beautifully written!
I'd love to see you write another Les Mis fic. Your charecterization is wonderful! It's rare that someone really recognize Javert's depth.
Well done. |
SweetWhispers 2006-02-26 . chapter 1That was beautifully written. I loved it. Good job. |
Peregrinus Adamantis 2006-02-09 . chapter 1Just beautiful - the first Les Mis fic I've actually felt moved to review :D
Ignore the flamer, feh! |
caudelac 2006-01-22 . chapter 1you dealt very well with a personal squick, but my writing squicks people often, so I can appreciate. Quite good indeed! |
