A good chapter about Chekov, nice look inside his thoughts. I loved this part:"So that's what it feels like," he murmured, "to be hero- worshipped."
It seems like things have come full circle. Chekov is now where Kirk has been. He's grown up, and the young cadets look up to him.

Do we have the chance to see the next chapter befor next year? ;-)

Chekov's was a lot darker than Sulu's chapter! And just as well done. I liked the dip into his background, and explanations for why Spock and McCoy didn't go on the Enterprise-B. The cadet was cute and a nice way to bring everything into perspective.

Excellent insights to Sulu's head. It seems in character, even though we don't really see a lot of him, or hear his thoughts. Very well done!

Both chapters are excellent! Very well written. I certainly do hope that it won't take nearly a year for another update. I'm looking forward to more soon.

Hmm...interesting. I must say you have an obsession with Chekov being drunk, don't you? And what's with Mueller? He comes from something else doesn't he? A book? I'm thinking Enterprise for some reason. I'm not really sure. Still, short but well writen. Shmaltzy is the best word for it, I think. Ah well, you're a good egg despite anything others might say. *Glomp*

Sulu is written very well in-character, and I like how you show him standing at the ocean. Do you write more about Chekov, Uhura and the others?

Okay, I won't forget to review. I like it, I really do. It's kinda...sad and poetic. I assume coming chapters will be focused on other characters? That would be nice. Always bothered me that no one really reacted to Kirk's death in the movie.
Sniff...the driftwood was very symbolically done. Something that should be kinda silly, saluting driftwood, but you pulled it off. This is an excellent beginning, can't wait to see chapter two!
