I have a very good reason for not reviewing until now so no blasting me. na na na na na! and on that mature note, my review:
The thing with Des's new power is really confusing. It just suddenly appeared and he knew what it was and how it worked a little too quickly. You should explain what exactly an empath is and how his powers work in more detail. not just to me while i'm trying to tune you out between classes, but in another chapter. Also, the relationships don't seem to be all that developed. Again, it can be fixed with adding more detail to the next chapters. I know the rule is "show, don't tell" but i think you may need to break it just a little bit sometimes. give details about a situation. it just adds more depth to the story.
you can tell i've had a little while to think about this.

This is a good story, not, in the immortal words of RA "a Marty Stu", though i must say that is an original insult. and to RA, if you hate it so much, don't read it. simple as that. anyway, great story, looking foreward to more.
