are you two aware that this is the same text as the previous chapter? might want to fix that... and i don't think there is a way to post a story under two authors.

i regret to inform you that you are not the only one who think this chapter is not up to the standard of the first. first of all yahiko is INCREDIBLY cheesy in this story. he's not in character, and even if he was one of those mondern males who don't mind crying, still his dialogue is nowhere near realistic. real people simply do not talk like that, no matter how emotional they are.
sencondly, you rush through everything too fast. a scene has barely started before it's over and we don't have time to get into it. Misao's mood swings aren't realistic, either... we need to see transitions between her moods.
and you can't just come out and say "her grief was not gone, but locked away in a mental closet" and expect us to get anything from that. you did use a metaphor, which is good, but please try to extend it to include some kind of vivid mental image, or show us some acytions or words to let us know her supposed happiness and boredom are just a surface act.

these are good little angsty scenes. it makes me wonder, though, why the women can only love each other once their men have become unavailable to them... although, i guess it's because as long as the men were around, the women would cling to the illusion of love with the men... i wonder what would happen if one of the men stayed, like kenshin, and did start to get romantic with this lesbian kaoru, would she have felt wrong and pushed him away? or if aoshi did the same thing with misao?

Hmm... I do happen to want another chapter... maybe one of Megumi with someone else... preferably (sp?) with a woman. Do hope you take that into consideration. Update soon, if ever!
