I can't believe I never reviewed this...It is soo wow, perfect, amazing, spot-on, incredible, heart-wrenching,... Girl, you've got talent.
Another angle you could explore is if Severus decided not just to commit suicide but take a few others down with him... he could have easily brewed a poison for the whole school. In real life, tragedies like Columbine and Virginia Tech are perpetuated from loners...
Wow.
Thanks for a brilliant story. Most fanfic authors (especially the Snape-haters) write of how he exagerated the "pranking" and it was his (Sev's) fault anyway. It is rarely called bullying or attempted murder.

very well written story, sad in what it stands for I guess but at the same time it was nice to see something of a victory for Severus.
You did a really good job with this piece.

Very very very well written. This once again reminds us that Sirius was a prick during his school days...

This is my favorite HP fic ever written. I have always sympathized with Serverus and I hated James and Sirius since the ootp.

My Dear Authoress,

This very well is the most incredible piece of literature I have read. It articulately depicts what would have happened should Severus have felt the desperate need of escaping the sick and twisted horrors of his every day reality.
I believe the Mauders received their just desserts. I was repulsed as I read OotP. How could J.K rowling do that? The Mauders all seemed to have a jolly good time with their lives, James gets the girl, and Severus is left in the dark! I'd have either commited suicide or gone in to the Dark Arts as well!

Truly, you have a gift in writing, considering I have also read The Taming of Harry Potter. I wish you would update.

Sincerly,

I cried so much! when reading this. It was avsolutely amazing. I agree, Sirius and James where terrible people. Poor Severus. He is my favorite character and he lived such a pain filled life; no one ever helped him at anything.

Nicely done. I like your take on the bullying of Severus at the hands of the Marauders; I saw the circumstances of it through a similar lens. You made me tear up, gah >

...this...actually made me tear up- you captured everything so perfectly and I like how that with the smallest change everything else was changed too (the Neville bit- as well as the Marauders being split up) that's called the- "butterfly" effect isn't it?
Oh well, the one bit that really REAALLY got to me and made me go- "HA! Karama's a ** isn't it, Saint Potter?!?!?" was-

"She may be a Mudblood," Evan Rosier, who had an annoying habit of sneaking up to people undetected, whispered hotly in his ear, "but she's not stupid. She would never look twice at a murderer, Potter."

"Shut the hell up!" James spat back, whirling around to face Rosier.

Suddenly, Rabastan Lestrange and two other Slytherin boys descended upon them, standing behind Rosier supportively. "Well, come on then...This is how you liked to play it, isn’t it? Four to one." James glowered but backed down. Rosier just smirked, shaking his head in disgust. "I didn't think so, coward."

OMFG, I both loved and loathed the way the Marauders STIIL blamed Sev for splitting them up, and getting them in trouble even when the boy is as good as dead.
Congratulations- you offically made me hate James and Sirius!
Please keep writing Marauder era stuff!

You really do know how to write a story, I think it could even be used as education for the misguided people who perpatrate this crime. You show both sides of the story; Severus who just can't deal with it anymore, and the Mauraders, who feel that it's just... not a joke exactly, but nothing terribly serious. You show the consequences of the characters actions and you even show that the teachers are partially responsible for what goes on in the schoolyard. This is an excellent piece and I certainly wish I had the emails of a couple of old school chums and a teacher or two. You should be very proud of this piece and I hope you manage to get it out there into the wider world.

Wow... that was heavy. But it got your point across, and was very well written; I, too, after reading Order of the Phoenix felt little to no kind regard for the Marauders after seeing their treatment of Severus Snape.
