In the Manga, Shinta means Heart of a Rice Field (I think). Kenshin means Heart of a Sword. Although you said '"their language"' so that throws all things out the window.

AW..wow, I finally found this story and damn it's good! The perfect fantasy, although I don't see much of the romance that you put this story under yet.
