Perfect! Absolutely beautiful! This is a flawless description of who Yuki is! ::cuddles this fic::

Beautiful. Just beautiful. And a very unique but very -true- way of seeing Yuki & his life... The last line especially was just lovely... I feel bad for both Haru & Yuki, that things work in that way, & yet, Haru is closer to Yuki's heart than anyone else... I know I said it already, but truly, this was beautiful.

Every time I read this, I'm amazed by your ability to self-reflect on a character, that although I've never seen him, I feel like I've touched a part of his mind, and can love him for it.

One can really feel for Yuki, especially with these lines:

~~For wanting the life that made a little boy cry endless nights alone, begging not to be a prince, a leader, a status, a symbol. He didn't want to be adored, or loathed, or seen. Just to exist, as himself, alone.~~

And again, the inkling into the Yuki/Haru relationship was just touched upon, but enough to get one's curiosity peaked. I really hope I can watch the series soon.

I loved the happy-ish ending, where after all he's been through, Yuki was able to find that little part of him that was solely him...and wouldn't you know, it also tied him to Haru ^_~.

~~And beneath all the layers of sacrifice for the greater good of others and their needs, the part that was solely Yuki-the one he kept sacred and immovable as his cornerstone of himself-found he had loved Haru in return.~~

You know how much a positively adore this fic, don't you? I swear, every time I write any Fruits Basket regarding Yuki or Haru, I reference it. Because it's sad, and sweet, and makes me want to reach out and cuddle Yuki because he's so angsty. *laugh* And to add, because you know I can't resist, *throws confetti* Welcome to the Pit! :)
