Very, very good! Especially loved the first half. It made me cry. Where is Gary in the 2nd part? A motel room somewhere up north, in winter? Or did he finally snap and just couldn't make sense of &/or live with his own thoughts anymore and voluntarily commit himself to a mental institution in search of a rest for both mind & body? (re 4th season episode: "Mel Schwartz, Bounty Hunter") The description of the place he is in could fit that easily. Always wanted someone to write a good fanfic of Gary finally snapping and being committed for one reason or another. The man was a nervous wreck during much of 3rd & 4th season. After the chase ended in "Fatal Edition", I'm surprised he looked as good as he did at the end. But looks can be deceiving. Wonder what happened when he got home after that one? How he felt, what thoughts went thru his mind. How about you?

Wow! This one's going on my favorites! It was extremely well written, you could put *everything* they were feeling in words! I took forever to read it, because I thought about everything in there. This fic is the best! :c)
