Aranel, you should definately do more work with Eomer and Eowen. These are great - I've never thought of Eomer/Eowen as kids, just as a strong warrior and a sad maiden! Keep writing, you are simply wonderful!

That was a really sweet and loving story.
I could just image the two children searcing the house for presents as I do so myself when much younger.
Well written, I enjoyed reading it very much.
...So what did happen to the lace?

Very nice story. This is such a great family dynamic you've written- one imagines that, as you've depicted it here, the Rohirric royal family was just as happy and loving as any of the elven families when all its members were alive. Of the several Yuletide stories I've read at this site, this is probably my favorite because it is poignant without being sappy and, unlike the elven Yuletides, it feels real, as though it happened, not one of the fantastic elven retreats of Middle-earth, but in our world. Great story.

Oh! You see I was far too lazy to read this before! But it was brilliantly lovely! I can imagine poor Eowyn's disapointments with her presents... once I got a DRESS when my brother's got skateboards. I was devestated. And the checking that neither one's present was better than the others... I did that! *g*
Brilliant, just like all your stuff!

Short review this time (tendovaginitis struck again), but I simplymust review this most wonderful story!! :-)

Eowyn and Eomer are very in-character (especially Eowyn, not wanting girl's presents - or "abusing" them for games in the mud that are so much more fun), and I love how they search for the hidden presents, both hope that the one they find is for them, then learn that neither of them will get it - and then even get something better, something very much like the object of desire AND a sword...

Teehee.. Naughty lady of Rohan! Why do I believe I have some suspicion as to what happened to the lace? ;-)

This was a wonderful, touching and amusing story once again - I simply love your Rohan vignettes, they are among the best stories on ff.net! :-)

Very, *very* nice! It's so good to see some of the underused characters getting some screen time. And Éomund is a wise father.

What a great story! I love these Rohirrim. They do everything with their whole hearts. I liked the line: "At least they are not fighting" as the two kids battle at one another with swords!
