Very true. This really does sound like what could have happened in canon. Their relationship is unlikely to have improved - but Snape would probably do something about Umbridge... in his subtle Slytherin way... So yes, brownie points for keeping it believable =)

This was intriguing. And a bit confusing at the end. And certainly worth seeing Umbridge get what she had coming to her and should have in the first place! *sigh* If only Snape would remember that the same pride had kept him going more than once, not to mention cost him the one good influence in his life.
