This story would be much easier to read and follow if you replaced the "under construction" chapters. Even the old versions would be preferrable for now.

where's the update? i was hoping to read the other half of the fanfic that was missing. i got soo confused as to what is really going on. i was hoping to hear from you sometime soon. please tell me you still plan to revise this fanfic. i was hoping that i can find out what really happened in the end. like what's with summer's blood on the sword? the phoenix? so i hope to hear from you soon and keep writing and updating!

I'm totaling loving this fic and then after chapter 21 all the chapters say under construction and then blah blah blah a bunch of times. Is there something wrong with my computer or are you editing the story? Anyway, do you think you can e-mail me a copy i can read if the blah blahs are permenent?

This was absolutely wonderful. Many times during a very bad and frustrating day at work, I would take a sanity break and see if a new chapter was up yet for “Optic Evolution: Ruby Quartz”. To my surprise, sometimes more than one chapter was posted – jackpot! You have a talent for this and I hope you continue to use your fantastic imagination and produce more fan fictions to this caliber, especially about Scott and Jean.

Ok I almost never review stories (I'm just a lazy person lol) but I *had* to review this one!

In short: Loved it.

I loved the characterization, the romance, the action, the bad guys, everything. You have an excellent style of writing with very few grammar and spelling mistakes (which usually drive me nuts!). However, there were two things that irked me (two very small things). One was the a couple of little problems with the present tense language in the first chapter, ex. "The fight continues"... and "Apocalypse gives chase..." it might be just me, but they seem as if they should be "continued" and "gave"... again, ignore this if it doesn't make sense to you :)

One last thing, the ending. Now I love happy endings and of course they had to end up together! It seemed as if you were rushing to get this done though, you had excellent timing in this entire story up until the last few chapters where time passed super fast. I for one wanted to know what happened with Apocalypse (certainly he didn't decide to just leave, with his horsemen defeated?) and sinister (not to mention Jean's phoenix powers!) within the timeframe that you skipped!

I want more! Lol not to sound greedy!

Okay that's it, sorry about how long this is! I hope that you keep writing and again, I *love* this story! :)
